I mow every week because my yard is mostly weeds and everyone knows they're the rabbits of the plant kingdom

at this point I'm considering just bull dozing the entire thing and putting down fake grass

think of the bees

My dad is in charge of lawn care here, I mow whenever he asks me to. How often we mow depends on the time of year. In the summer it's every week, during the winter it can be as little as once a month.

well I hope you don't do it at 3pm when ppl are trying to sleep

3 pm sounds like heaven. The lawn care service for the development I used to live in mowed in the am. Fuck that noise.

Lawns are an abomination anyway. Let that shit go wild, reintroduce native species. Support the ecosystem.

But mostly just quit with the noise while people are sleeping.

City ordinance for me is 8am to 8pm more precise sunrise to sunset it's legal for lawn equipment

Winter time I hate

assholes starting their snowblowers at 5am

Actually, it depends on whether it has rained recently.  Tends to grow faster after rains.  Still, they should let it grow to about 3-4 inches so that the roots are deeper, it retains moisture better and helps block weed seed from getting to soil and germinating.
