I need a new comedy anime to play in the background

I've ran Shinchan, Cromartie, Milkchan and Lupin into the ground.  I'm not a weeb so yeah, Adult swim introduced me to most of those. (Discovered Cromartie completely by accident)....Help me out.

Yeah, I realize this might be better in Anime/Toonami, but please don't make me post there.

Yugioh gets pretty funny and incomprehensible toward the end of the duel city stuff and there's a ton of episodes

Yeah, can Fist of the North Star be one? Maybe Desert Punk was comedy? I Wanna Be The Strongest In The World is pretty damn funny, because nobody talks about Sweet Diva like that.

Oh my god, all the gifs on this page.

I've streamed that to death......And I'd also like something a little less battle based

For awhile Netflix used to have only the episodes up until some cliffhanger battle in season two, but I looked again this year and there's like five seasons now, so I'm gearing up for a marathon from hell.

Neo yokio bc I'm sure you already hate it

My friends and I would put FotNS on when we were liiiike....15 or so and sit up and ctfu at how hilarious that show was...But I think we found Crying Freeman way more unintentionally hilariuos

My "dear lord why am I still awake at 6 AM" pastime. This almost tempts me to pay for Netflix.

I've used a lot of burner emails for free Netflix month trials, because after about a month there's usually nothing else to watch for a few months until they mix it up

pass....I heard it was worthy of lulz but I refuse to add anything to the relevance of Jaden Smith besides this post.

It's actually pretty funny, but I stopped after liking the first few episodes for the same reason

Have you watched Gintama, Space Brothers, or The Disastrous Life of Saiki K?

The trick is to only ever halfway pay attention to what's actually going on in the show so it's easy to rewatch the same episodes deep into the early morning for many months, and that becomes another Work and Late Nite Yugioh phase of your life

That involves tolerating another human's inane babble for longer than an hour. Fuck I'm not looking forward to dealing with people today.

Psh, I don't currently see them.....They just never change their info.  I even gave my kid's mother the pass to one of them so she'd stop coming over here to watch TV.

Nope, are they dubbed....Because like I said, it'll be background noise....I don't plan on looking at the screen to understand what's going on.

Wasn't the revival jam thing where every time a monster appeared on the field the dude had to draw cards, and his dragon automatically attacked any monster that appeared on the field and since the jam technically died and reappeared on the field it went into a loop until he ran out of cards? Can't remember who had what, I think this is how he won the dragon. But revival jam was the other guys card, I specifically remember that. Maybe a change of heart card? Can't remember that part.

I must have seen those Revival Jam and Relinquished episodes at least ten times each and I still cant explain to you what those cards are doing

It certainly doesn't work that way on the game....I remember using those was almost sheer invincibility.....I used it on the world tournament 2006 DS game and that shit gets oneshotted every time.

I seem to remember relinquished would boost it's power by destroying a revival jam, and the the jam would keep coming back giving it an unlimited pool of power to tap, but honestly it has been too long for me to completely remember

You're so weak. Fine. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, Space Dandy, and One Punch Man. I don't think you needed to watch Full Metal Panic to grasp what's happening in Fumoffu.

Watamote [No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular!] - high schooler with delusions of actually talking to people normally one day.

Ranma 1/2 - anything is martial arts, millions of episodes.

NyanKoi! - guy allergic to cats breaks shrine statue accidentally and has to grant 100 cat wishes or he'll be turned into a cat.

Osomatsu-San - Six slacker brothers sabotage eachother as they avoid responsibilities with their neighbors.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - Suicidal teacher gives his class valuable life lessons.

Arakawa Under the Bridge - A businessman starts his new life under a bridge to repay his debt to a strange blonde girl alongside her squatter friends.

Daily Lives of High School Boys - Groups of friends embarrass themselves and each other.

Sabagebu - Girls shoot each other with air soft guns. Has Momoka, one of the funniest sociopaths in anime.

I'm finally remembering and I think this completes the picture. I think the auto-attack increased in power based on the number of cards in his hand and attacking the revival jam first was forced somehow, so however powerful a monster showed up stopped mattering. But Yugi turned the tables and put the revival jam to work for him. There must have been something about revival jam absorbing life point damage because that part I do not remember at all.

Gintama is great, but it’s more of one of those shows I tell people I enjoy despite only having seen about less than 50 episodes.

Now that it’s bumped up, I can bring up this season’s anime:

Asobi Asobase - Makes you think it’s a standard high school anime but it’s really about three girls who come together to sabotage those around them for their own gain. Includes a heavy metal ending theme.

Grand Blue - A college guy joins a Diving Club that turns out to be a place where macho dudes and an otaku go to binge drink and make awful decisions.

Chio-chan’s School Road - A girl into gaming is forced to find the quickest route to school before she’s late. In the process though, she gets caught up in predicaments that make her commute all the more hectic and eventful.

Asobi’s the funniest of the bunch, but Grand Blue might be easier to have on in the background.
