I just did a 5 mile run, took a nap, and mentally feel like shit more than ever. Body is also jelly too. Bleh

I think it's just supposed to help. From what I've read, your overall healthiness contributes more than exercise itself

I think I was decently healthy for awhile now. But Idk This spring break sucks.

If I were you, I’d try to become at least slightly motivated or happy and then excercise. I’d probably feel like crap trying to excercise when sad as well.

I was a little happy before the exercise, I felt good when I got home, but then started to feel bad with random thoughts and stuffs. Idk, to me it feels like none of my friends care or gave a dam. But it's whatever.

Exercising when I'm already depressed always just made me far more depressed and easily agitated.

Idk, people are always telling me to exercise and it will solve my problems, and it seemed to have the opposite effect. I think there is more to it.

I’ve been there before actually. If exercising doesn’t help you, don’t do it. Just do stuff you know will help you. Even if it’s just a coping method

yeah but why does it gotta feel like a drag?

i see people that do work out all the time and like and im here feeling like i rather be doing anything else.

I dunno. I was fine during the exercise, but when I got home, that's when I started feeling bad. Maybe its some weird comedown effect, idk. I was listening to some good pump music before that though.

Well I actually need to exercise to kill thc still trapped in my fat cells. I need to something that makes me sweat, good news is that my doctor diagnosed me with ADHD today, bad news is I can't be prescribed anything until I'm drug free. Lets just say I was a severely heavy pot user.

That's how it should normally go. lol At least for me, maybe try getting out my frustrations again tomorrow.

And stretch afterward or something.

I hear you. Just do mild exercises then maybe. And get the help when you can. Slow and steady.

Our impression was that it isn't the activity itself that's supposed to help, but rather the routine.

In any case, everyone is different and will respond to things in different ways. You just have to keep trying things until you find what works for you.

exercise can release emotions and feelings. you dont always feel good and doped up from it. sometimes ppl push themselves very hard and start crying. not from physical pain. something just surfaces right in the middle of the workout

I mean did you actually think it takes an immediate effect? As with generally everything, it takes time.

It also isn't a cure, so there's that. It's just a means in which to alleviate symptoms and promote mindfulness.

It's gets better the more you do it.  Your body will get use to it and you'll have more energy.   It'll also boost your metabolism.

Whether exercise helps with mood depends on if you enjoy the exercise.  I love to bike, so biking is exercise and a relief.  But if i were to run, i probably wouldn't be in a better mood because i hate to run.

I've been a runner before, so I just need to build up my stamina again, it's hard being a long distance runner after a couple of years of not running.

I think I was just bitching. I should be lucky that I was able to complete 5 miles, idk, I guess I've been in a rut for awhile.
