Y'all are right. There probably were Japanese materials provided by the studio, but they were obviously sent over well before the episodes aired because there was no hiccup with getting the subtitled versions out at any point. Learning is fun!

I'd be more concerned about whichever mysterious employee you emailed just outright lied to you before, because the delay had nothing to do with "waiting for scripts from Japan" or whatever the fuck you were saying. They don't get scripts from Japan. They literally pay people to translate and subtitle the episodes in-house so that they can post them on the same day (the scheduled release time was within an hour of the show airing). At that point, the ADR team takes that translation and figures out how to get the lines to match the lip flaps without changing anything too much. They're not sitting there for weeks on end, waiting for Bones to fax over a detailed script of the entire episode so that they can get started.

It might just be as simple as the current contract doesn't allow for it, and they're not able to sit down and hammer out an updated contract for that right now. Not everything is a conspiracy theory against you.

Can you link the article? Because I just went through Crunchyroll's archives and this is the only thing I found, which says absolutely nothing about putting the anime on hold. The last episode, which aired over two months ago in Japan, ends with the phrase "To be continued: 5th season!" It's on a normal seasonal break, not being postponed because of his medical issues. And they don't wait on Japan for scripts, why would they? The episodes are already fully translated and subtitled, and hit their website on the same day as the Japanese airing. They've had the scripts the entire time.
