  1. I'm also curious about Ken Jennings. I've heard everything from him being a scab to there being a specific carve-out that allows him to host Jeopardy, but he doesn't talk about it so I don't know the reality.

  3. I remember them doing all sorts of stupid things to fill airtime (like the three-way feud) but I didn't remember it all being intentionally bad. Either way, was it really controversial in the way that it is now, or was it accepted but the pro strike people?
  4. What were the strike politics when Conan/Stewart/Colbert returned to air during the last writers strike?
  5. no just wait @Rogue_Alphonse
  6. There were three times in my life where I came close to fixing it. Twice on school breaks where I had no time commitments, I literally just pushed myself to stay up later and later every night/day until I rounded the horn and was organically waking up at 7am and I held onto it for a couple weeks before falling back into a routine. When I started a job fall 2016, I was just so stressed and withdrawn that everything was forced out except my physical needs. So I'd just like drop what I'd be doing practically mid-sentence and just walk to bed. That went away once I got over the shell shock. I'd recommend #1, but it's virtually impossible for most anyone to find a two week block of time with minimal obligations where you have the freedom to sleep or wake up at any hour of the day.
  7. i am a summoner too, see watch: @Rogue_Alphonse
  8. lol that wasn't exactly the solution i was looking for BUT I'LL TAKE IT
  9. Thanks tsar, but my real objective though is kinda more to spin the future out to everyone. The collective. The hivemind.
  10. case closed!
  11. yes but does "stress out" normally mean "coat the walls and ceiling in diarrhea"?

  14. No it is definitely but those words just like did not exist to my eyeballs
  15. He is kind of up there in age where a six year term is a serious consideration, especially given the dysfunction and sitting in the minority. I believe his seat is his to lose, he's not at risk of losing in a Utah primary compared to any other state, but effectively being an island of one has it's limits.
  16. My brain completely missed the "for another country" line, just like completely zeroed it out. But yeah that's my guess, that it's a show to express solidarity against western hegemony.
  17. I'm fairly certain ASMB was my first internet community, anything I tried to break into after was just not the same and never clicked.
  18. I'm pretty sure it's the reverse, NK offered to arm Russia for the war on Ukraine.
  19. Every time I hear about a NK missile test, my first thought is always "do they really have enough missiles to be wasting them on show launches?"
  20. An old board member (I can't remember his actual handle) speculated 10+ years ago that every one of us had a little hole in our lives that this community filled and that's why we all stuck around. I think there might be some truth to that, but I also think there's probably awful metaphors to make about the people who stuck around the longest having the largest holes. And I would never go there.
