I was just having a related conversation, nearly everything in nature that doesn't die in some freak accident will inevitably be murdered and eaten and it will most likely be a horrible and painful death. Like you hear about the lions and hyenas picking off the weak, sick, or old gazelle or zebra or whatever and that's how the collective herd stays healthy, but from an individual perspective each member of that herd will eventually be the sick, weak, or old one. With deer, instead of lions and hyenas it's wolves, coyotes, hunters, and headlights.

Not really related, but I just tried to schedule a first pediatric dentist appointment. There's a place right down the street that has a bunch of high reviews, their website says they're in-network. So I call them, they call me back and start inputting my info. Then "we accept that insurance but we're out-of-network so there will be an additional upfront cost we can't calculate, you may want to talk to your insurance." That doesn't make sense but I'm also dumb, so I call the insurance and they confirm at least some of the providers at that office are in-network and they offered to call the office with me on the line and sort it out. Well sure, first time any insurance person ever tried to do something helpful for me. So she calls over, they pick up, she starts explaining her bit, the receptionist asks her if I'm an existing patient but realizes I'm on the line too, and then abruptly says "we don't do conference calls." I offered to drop from the call so they could talk business or whatever and no one replied, then insurance lady realizes we got hung up on and I was talking to nobody. So me and insurance lady were just kind of sitting there shocked for a minute at how rude that was and I got angrier and angrier as it set in, so we both agreed that I'll just find a different pediatric dentist. idk maybe they have a rational reason for refusing insurance/patient conference calls, but had to vent that out so I didn't write a mean Karen review on their google page

My friends conscripted me into their quartet, but we only play once a week because scheduling. Still in Act 1, iunno how much more we have left. My character is a dwarf fighter (so I don't have to learn any more mechanics) who for some reason can jump 3x farther than anyone else and it's hilarious every time I jump.

There was the original software default theme and we pretty much immediately flipped it to the UEMB default, and until now that was it so there was no real reason to know.

I have thoughts but I need to sit and type them and I got distracted by life. But once I sit down I'll type something out and draw more attention to the If you scroll to the bottom of the homepage, there should be a little button that says "Theme" that you can use to individually toggle from the default format to the ASMB one. If it makes sense to make more themes we can do that but making the one we did was a massive pain in the ass v because I'm really dumb.
