  1. I don't know the specifics, but DOJ's request to the court was a "limited unsealing". Sealing a warrant is generally done for the benefit of the defendant, I'm not sure what the rules are on the defendant's side, or what the rules/exceptions are for confidential informants etc. Given they were already going through the proper course to unseal it, I'm not sure it that's some kind of additional violation in its own right. I know that former presidents are normally entitled to continue receiving briefings, you may be right that he is being excluded from that tradition but I don't know off the top of my head.
  2. He's under investigation for enough to put a young person away for life (I gotta go back and find where all the penalties were listed, but one of them was 10 years per document). Can't say whether he'll be tried or convicted, or not just pardoned by the next Republican. Or that the truthsocial people don't start the civil war that one guy in Cincinnati thought he was starting. But every person listed on the unredacted version he sent to Breitbart now needs security for the rest of their lives.
  3. So it looks like all the outlets have the warrant now (so expect real news outlets to report on it imminently), but Trump released the full thing to Breitbart first, including all sorts of FBI personnel names etc. that are redacted in the public document.
  4. Per Breitbart of all places, the update at 2:37PM lists the relevant criminal statutes, including the Espionage Act: https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/08/12/exclusive-warrant-shows-doj-fbi-waited-several-days-after-judge-approved-to-conduct-mar-a-lago-raid/
  5. WSJ has the latest, if anyone happens to have an account and wants to share. https://www.wsj.com/articles/fbi-recovered-eleven-sets-of-classified-documents-in-trump-search-inventory-shows-11660324501
  6. me: "if I'm quick, it'll be seamless before any last-second replies get in" pooh in the OG thread:
  7. also FYI any confused readers, I spliced this from the insurrection thread because it's clearly developed its own legs (probably from the nuclear radiation)
  8. "Public transportation just isn’t Walker’s thing; he once suggested his goal for transit was for every citizen to have a car."
  9. I found it, if anyone has time to kill and wants to get angry about Scott Walker. https://www.politico.com/agenda/story/2015/07/transportation-infrastructure-scott-walker-highways-000153/
  10. According to Politico, the judge gave DOJ until 3pm Friday to determine whether Trump objects or not to the unsealing, so it could be sooner than you think.
  11. He stopped all national news for a half hour not only to say he personally approved it, but to say he's asking the court to unseal the warrant absent objection from DJT. It puts the onus on Trump because Trump blasted it out to the world in the first place. So either Trump let's the court unseal it and show the world what the FBI was actually looking for, or Trump keeps it a secret. But it will be Trump's choice.
  12. I read somewhere this morning that the FBI was caught flatfooted because not only did they not want to draw attention to it, they didn't want to politicize it either. So then Trump immediately does both. I don't know it was true, all I know right now is as soon as I give in and go to the bathroom the stream will start. Some kind of Schrodinger's pants-shitting livestream over here. Edit: you're all welcome, I left and it started
  13. There was a politico magazine article back during the Scott Walker days about how Wisconsin was willing to spend like $3b on a mega interchange to save commuters 3 minutes in travel time, but was unwilling to invest $500k in a basic downtown light rail system where the residents don't own cars. I'ma have to find it because it's exactly what you're talking about.
  14. My guess is that it will provide underlying context behind the trump documents warrant and raid, but it's taking forever to start and I skipped pooping to not miss it. Squirming in my seat here.
  15. Stream is here, but hasn't started yet:
  16. He pled the fifth, and put out a press release explaining how he was wrong when he previously said "if someone pleads the fifth we know what that means!"
  17. I remember four loko getting banned. A then-Assemblymember chugged a bunch on camera to show the hammering happen in real time.
  18. this is presumably a prelude to the actual push on the city of kherson, but I've seen a fair bit of reporting on the pants-shitting that ukraine was able to reach a base in actual-crimea
  19. One more plus "free space" and you win bingo!
