I think the appeal of Balgo was that he was supposed to be comically irritating to the point of having both Ninny and Noel express interest in wanting to kill him. But Kubo did too good of a job at making him irritating to the audience too. When he’s not bumbling and yodeling his way into every fight scene, he’s trying to feel up Noel. Kon was this type of character, but he at least had his moments where he was funny or competent.

I liked the few episodes they gave us, but Balgo is insufferable. Also, I’m hoping that if they do continue the story, they don’t include as many Bleach references. Bleach ended too poorly for me to get hyped up for a new series if it’s just going to be the Bleach version of Boruto.

That’s what I get from Double IPA beers from Trader Joe’s. It tastes average, but the 8.4% ain’t half bad. Old Rasputin is probably the best beer I’ve gotten shitfaced quickly with though. Imperial stouts take you to your destination right away.

“Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?” and “I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense” are the only two I’ve gotten into lately. I prefer the goofier ones that get into of the video-gamey issues that come from isekai VRMMORPGs like flippant mods, gamebreaking glitches, and overpowered weapons/items. If they get too self-serious or feel too much like wish fulfillment, I tune out or lose interest. I do like Re;Zero though, but I need to find the time to catch up with it.

I’ve been playing it, but just pop in on occasion so I haven’t gotten too far. I did get Mona and Fischl though, so those two have been helping me get more interested in the game.

Order steak items at Panda Express, Chipotle, or Taco Bell. If you close your eyes and pretend you’re living the high life, it kinda feels like the same experience.

You’d also have to ask yourself if you’d do the same in the Deus Ex universe. Augmentation would help to survive, but there’s also the existential “am I human or machine?” kind of questions that cyberpunk stories tend to bring out. Or the idea that having tech applied to your body would open up the opportunity to potentially have an even deeper stranglehold on your identity and privacy.
