I figured that'd be the best option. I was thinking of taking mine out, but got anxious about cracking it open if they're not going to be as stable or get easily smudged. I did take off the stickers because Gamestop pasted a thousand stickers on there to remind everyone that Sasha is a GS exclusive, so I guess I wouldn't want to have all that effort I took to get them off to go to waste. It would also easily answer any "What figure is that!?" questions that may pop up.

I realize that my OP sounded mean because I'm honestly contemplating getting more. I've been eyeing BOGO sales on them, and there are some Sailor Mercury, Nina Williams, Sakura, and Annie Leonhart figures that have been tempting me. Is taking them out of the box a good way of displaying them, or should I go for the collector value of keeping them safe and secure inside?

I actually didn't get hurt on New Years Eve, which is a miracle because I sliced my hand twice trying to get the foil off of a fancy liquor bottle on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Nope, but I have to make up the hours if I don't want my paycheck to get a kick in the nuts this week.

Anyone have these? So many people in my office have these, and after half a year of working there, I've felt oddly jealous. They're relatively worthless for anything other than filling space, but if anyone was going to decorate their office, it was always through Pop figures. Yesterday, I impulse bought one to put in my office as a status symbol that I too haven't lost all of my soul to this cruel and unforgiving world just yet. The one I settled with was of Sasha from Attack on Titan. I haven't gotten past the point in both the anime and manga after Sasha goes on a Titan-killing frenzy and Connie visits his hometown, but it seemed like the most appealing one until they make one of Ashido from Hero Academia. They don't have Asuka in their Tekken line, and other AoT folks I liked such as Mikasa and Ymir are respectively rare and nonexistent. Persona 5 and Nier ones are probably a long shot too. After I bought it, however, I've come to learn that collecting these damn things is the new "crazy cat-lady" thing where people just surround themselves with Pop figures. Maybe it's to fill that hollow void in the pit of their chest that they don't have a feasible hobby; maybe its them resigning to the fate that a spouse or children are a pipe dream; maybe they're just bonkers ass rich people who invest whatever money could've gone into a yacht to collect Pop figures. Has anyone fallen into the trap of Pop figures? Any lost souls like me who bought one out of conformity? Anyone genuinely find them to be worthwhile?

It was everything that sucked about 2017, but with a vengeance. Dropped out of my Ph.D. to switch my focus from academia to business, so half the year was everyone looking down on me for either making very little on internships or jumping from temp work to temp work. "Isn't this kind of work beneath your Master's degree?" Yes, but I have no fucking choice because my college and my fuckhead thesis chair blackballed me out of getting hired as an assistant professor because they "want applicants outside the college". Marketing and business are literally my only option for a Com. major that goes anywhere outside of teaching. If I just get a little more experience, maybe it'll pay off that I got an MA under my belt. Had some godawful jobs like one for a corrupt diet cookie mogul who used some skeezy bullshit to reduce my originally lengthy role to just being a contractor for a week to write an Amazon description for his sleeping pills. He ripped off the original cookie diet guy and called the idea his own, so it's not surprising he used predatory tactics to have college students do a weeks worth of garbage. His wife openly joked about Trump deporting their Hispanic employees when she came to visit, and he celebrated whatever FDA garbage he pushed. Real Queen of Versailles bullshit. I also worked for some lady trying to pitch spa salt on social media, expecting me to elevate her business to new heights merely from daily Facebook updates I got paid $40 a week to write. "I WANT RESULTS," she said, offering only a handful of pocket change and some lint in return. Get fucked. The second half of the year was alot better. My work with Random Curiosity continues to be alot of fun. I also got some more permanent positions with operations/marketing medical supplies. I did a brief internship with a clinic too. The bosses/supervisors at these jobs were infinitely much more pleasant. I felt bad for leaving the clinic post-internship because the doctor and his wife were wonderful, but they were in the process of transition so it was getting complicated to figure out what I'm doing next. My medical supplies job pays OK. I'm looking for something more feasible, especially with my Masters degree, but it offers me some good stability, a nice amount of money in my pocket, and a cozy workplace that isn't a hassle to drive to. If anything, it can also be a launchpad towards administrative work. Now just to finally move out with my gf. I still have driving anxiety and panic attacks on the road. It's not as bad as it used to be, but I doubt it's going to get better from here. Now that I'm out of college, I'm also contemplating going on meds, so if I have enough tantrums or depressive mood swings, my family and loved ones will try to make me take pills. Soon you'll probably be seeing a more medicated Chaps. The good thing though is that now that I'm technically a college dropout, I have time to write creative efforts while I work on anime blogging and my job. I have been dicking around with fan stories, but I want to pursue book ideas. Got a little carried away with all this, but I've been meaning to disclose what's been going on on my end. Here's to a 2018 that hasn't sucked as much balls as the last two years.

Just standard ones? I only get mine through driving or vertigo. -
Once I moved from beer to liquor, I stopped feeling tipsy and didn't hit that drunk feeling again.

I got drunk off of two beers at 7 and sobered up by 9, but when I drank harder until midnight, I stayed sober.

What will he your last meal for 2017?

They stopped being worthwhile around 2011-2014 when they became a subscription service. -
I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it. I did try and fuck her. She was married. No, no, Nancy. No, this was — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, “I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.” I took her out furniture — I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look. Whoa! Whoa! Look at you, you are a pussy. All right, you and I will walk out. Maybe it’s a different one. Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything. Oh, it looks good. Ooh, nice legs, huh? It’s always good if you don’t fall out of the bus. Like Ford, Gerald Ford, remember?

Ameno-sagiri was easy. By the time Chie had God Hand and Yukiko had Salvation, I spent the rest of the game wiping the floor with everyone and nuking bosses to oblivion. Shadow Yukiko & Kanji were rougher bosses, but that's mostly cause your resources/options are limited early on. Now Nyx in P3 was a hell of a boss. That dude was a motherfucker, especially with the old combat system. Even when you overlevel in New Game +, it still takes a good half hour or more to get through all of his phases.

Drake's getting old. He just wants to retire and play Crash Bandicoot with his wife. Let him rest!

The Disaster Artist - The making of The Room
Chapinator_X replied to Jman's topic in Movies & Television
I wanted to watch it in IMAX when I had the chance, but now that I do, it's not playing anywhere close. Everyone betray me. In preparation though, I was trying to find the Swimcon forum panel that Greg Sestero was involved in. I remember asking him something, but can't remember if it was about fan involvement or the making of the movie. -
Why all of the bad remakes of good movies?
Chapinator_X replied to Zenigundam's topic in Movies & Television
Remakes have been more about grabbing your nostalgia dollars than improving older films that could've been amazing under better direction or technology. -
Nice try, NSA!
