One time I got pulled over (can't exactly remember for what but VERY most likely speeding), so as I was waiting for the cop to come to my window I quickly dug out my registration from my glove box and my license from my wallet and immediately tried handing it to him. He looked at it but didn't take it and asked me what I was doing. I said it's my license and registration. He said I could put it away. I said you don't need to see it? He said, no that's just something Hollywood (meaning TV/movies etc) does. I think he told me police very rarely need to see people's registration and often don't need to see their license.

We already got people buying other peoples' piss for drug tests, now we'll have people buying others' poop to get money from this toilet. I was actually quite enthralled reading that article until I came to the end where it said the average persons' daily poop can power about one load of dishes. Seems like not much of a return.

2022 Midterms: Oh god, not again

Intentionally fuck everything up as much as possible so they can blame it on the democrats. Rinse, repeat. -

That's a good point, and you're probably right.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'll still give it a shot if it comes to Toonami, but Vash voiced by anyone but Johnny Young Bosche? Feh.

Is it broiling hot where you live?

Looks like I'm not the only one having weather that won't make up its mind. Today was 80, tomorrow is 87, Monday is 95, then for the next 7 days it's between 100 and 103. -

I can only speak for me, but I've never heard of it. -
Nope. If I suddenly disappear for an extended time, assume our Internet connection's fucked and the ISP is taking their sweet time fixing it, or, I somehow got a life.

Well if you think about it, it was always extremely common to listen to the radio in the car, so basically you're listening to the "radio" but it's only songs from your own personal collection. This makes sense to do in a car because unless you're going on a long drive, chances are you are not going to be able to listen to a whole album uninterrupted anyway.

I'm pretty sure this is a female only thing. -
Not having a father sucked growing up

It never occurred to me it would happen, it just happened when I had to go to the doctor because I felt like shit and it was cold outside. If I'm too lazy to put on shoes, chances are I'm too lazy to put socks on too. I still have no idea why the idea is so revolting to people everybody. -

I never felt the need for those. Generally the only shoes I want that don't lace up are sandals/flipflops. Anything else I want laces. -

I've never understood why this is so reviled by like, everybody ever. Sometimes due to weather socks are appropriate but maybe feeling to lazy to tie shoes, so you just put on sandals instead. I did this once. One day many years ago I felt like shit, so my parents took me to the doctor (I don't even remember what for or what happened at the doctor). It was the winter so I needed socks but I felt like shit and was in no mood to put on my regular shoes so I just slipped on some sandals. I don't know about you, but my whole childhood, my parents got me socks that went way above the ankles. It was all I knew and therefore normal to me. Everyone in my family wore socks like these. All the other boys I knew wore those kind of socks too. I remember one time I noticed that the girls were wearing socks that go way above the ankles too except they rolled them all the way down as far as they could go before their shoes got in the way. Perhaps this a female thing? It wasn't until a few years ago my dad pointed to the virtue of ankle socks, but only for warm/hot weather. During cold weather i prefer the shin (or whatever) socks. -

Lauren Tom is Chinese-American. Is she fluent in Lao? In King of the Hill, Khan and Minh speak Lao when they don't want other people to know what they are saying. Are they actually speaking Lao? Is it Chinese that the show is trying to pass off as Lao? A quick glance at wikipedia, I didn't see Chinese being a common language in Laos or Lao being a common language in China. Was the Lao language a part of the culture Lauren Tom grew up with, or did she learn it later in life? -
