That's too bad. I don't know if your Comm 1A class is the very rudimentary one, like my Comm 3 was. Our teacher actually encouraged us to pick really easy topics. I did one speech about my Ozzy hat, one speech about the band Rainbow... I can't remember what my other speech was about. Maybe the info being presented wasn't important to anybody, but before I took that class I was deathly nervous about presenting in class, and after that class presenting in other classes was cake. Presenting easy shit gets you comfortable talking in front of a crowd which is a very valuable skill to have. I really think that was really the only goal of that Comm 3 class that I took, but it's a very valuable one imo.
