My company doesn't even allow us hourly workers to work more than 60 hours a week because it's against the law in the state of California. In fact I think the company policy caps at 55 hours a week. Recently a coworker came in to work when we've been having a lot of mandatory overtime and voluntary overtime because we've been very busy, and they sent her home before start of shift because she took on too much overtime to work any more that week. Though I guess it's a lot easier to prove you've worked more than 60 hours a week because of being clocked in than to prove you've been denied your breaks.

Pizza Hut isn't as bad as they used to be. Management bought pizza for all us peons at work last year and after I started eating it I noticed it was Pizza Hut. I was like, well this might be interesting.... because in the past, every single time I've eaten Pizza Hut, it has given me diarrhea. But I hadn't eaten it since I was a kid. And it didn't give me diarrhea that night. And the pizza felt and tasted different, it wasn't so damn greasy like it used to be.

Well, there's really 2 things about this... 1) There's just a shyness and fear of rejection that I've had for decades that overrides logic. I know it's irrational. But that doesn't make it any easier to get over in the moment. 2) These past few weeks, I think she's been sending me signals.... but I do not think they are positive ones.... A couple times I would by happenstance be following her to the break area (not at all on purpose, we just happen to get to the walkway at the same time, and the walkway is very narrow so I can't just walk past her and her friend, so I have to follow behind, which is always awkward for me, because I'm generally a very fast walker). And sometimes, she'll just turn back and look at me, not saying anything. She doesn't smile while she's doing it. I fear she's been trying to tell me to leave her alone. I don't know. I haven't told a soul outside of you guys and my ex-bandmate that I'm interested in her, but it is very obvious she is very aware I am interested in her. I guess I made my attraction to her a little too obvious on accident, and I don't think it went over too well.

I really don't think she was giving me a sign, but I would absolutely love if this scenario happened.

Well, I fail at life. Lately she's been taking her last break of the shift in the same break area I take mine.... but she sits in the opposite corner that I do.... Due to what I've already done and some comments in this thread, I'm too afraid to go sit by her again (and remain silent and have her wonder I'm sitting by her)... Welp, last night she threw me for a loop at sat pretty near where I usually sit... and she was by herself too... Instead of sitting next to her, I was going to sit in my normal spot.... but the small space to walk in between tables would have made it too awkward to sit in my normal spot, due to where she was sitting... It was like the clouds opened up, and God himself intervened, giving me the perfect excuse to sit by her at break and talk to her. So, did I? Nope, I walked passed her, sat in a spot not really by her and not where I normally sit either, and said nothing to her. Slow clap for Doom, everybody.

I don't care if the neighbors think I'm lazy. Also I live in a California suburb, no one's planting corn around here.

I hate it when I come home from work and I'm too tired to do anything but go straight to bed (after eating, of course). Luckily, that wasn't the case today.

My Italian grandfather died when I was 6. It was the first death in the family I experienced. That's all I have to contribute to this thread.

I live around a lot of old people. It probably has to do more with me mowing in the afternoon rather than morning.
