I kind of wanted to get back into watching Detective Conan, but I put some thought into it. This series has been going on for like 30 years now, and Conan is still a fucking kid. I don't mind something like The Simpsons and South Park, where the kids never grow up and are frozen in time. They don't have an overreaching plot though. Meh, I just don't have the patience for the suspension of disbelief something like Detective Conan requires anymore. I guess I have become cynical, skeptical, old, boring, what have you . . .

It's about time a good one came to mind: pears are better than apples. I love their unique texture and taste. They're also higher in fiber than apples. I especially love Asian pears.

I don't see why not. Many of the people are still gonna struggle and fail even at my plan I suggested. It's just a more sensible approach.

I think it's somewhat foolish for Dr. Now to recommend a 1200-calorie diet for his patients on My 600 lb Life. It's supposed to help decrease the size of their fatty livers, but everyone on the show is so fat that even 3000 calories would suffice for that reason, and they'd still lose over 20 pounds a month. I think a better approach would be to start at 3000 calories, taper down to 2500 for months 3 and 4, and 2000 from month 5 onward. It helps them create long term healthy habits this way. Almost no one succeeds at the 1200-calorie diet, and I think it enforces black and white thinking, which is a huge part of the problem.
