  1. you'd get studded out amongst only those women capable of taking your whole hog. making all the husbands jealous af.
  2. a lot of people are forgetting that their returns are (also) lower because they paid less in throughout 2018. if a person didn't revisit their withholding allowances last year, they generally sent less off each pay period in the form of federal withholding.
  3. Looks like mid has this one under control.
  4. $10 by 2020 and another $1 each year after that...assuming the current version of the bill is approved by the house. I'm mixed on the whole thing. I start all my bartenders at minimum wage and they don't report their tips. This will definitely have an impact on my labor cost right away, probably to the tune of around $15-20k extra each year. We may have to consider raising drink prices. But if sales increase because customers have more disposable income, that might offset our increased cost entirely. I know my bartenders are already pulling down $20-40/hr after adding in tips. So maybe I just make them start reporting tips, and the impact of the wage hike disappears on its own. Time will tell...
  5. How you feelin' about that $15 by 2025?
  6. all but finished with my personal returns. still waiting on the corporate returns so i can enter my k-1, but i'm up about $800 on federal from where i was at this point last year. haven't done state yet, but i assume it will end up about the same as last year. corporate statements look to be showing a loss this year since we took on some new debt and demo'd that one property, so i don't expect them to erase any of the personal returns at this point. that could change, of course, but that's where i see things heading.
  7. it really is. we didn't do any expos for our wedding. but we was broke as hell at that time, so we did everything on the cheap. don't be like us. spend some money so that other people do everything, and you can sit back and sample various cakes, wines, and dinner plates for 7 months straight.
  8. so then, what's you're true source of power? actually, no. i'm not ready for that answer.
  9. hey man. alopecia is not a joking matter.
  10. the female nazis up there apparently have horrible fashion sense.
  11. whatcha doin' in the ladies section, ya little pervert?
  12. i like to tell myself pcat = aoc and that's why she disappeared. imagine someone from the old boards trying to run for political office, with all their hateful shit spewn about for years on the forever internet. that would get nasty. but it would probably also get us a bump in traffic, so it's not all bad.
  13. wife has a nice collection of evp recordings from her various ghost hunts. i went with them once to a graveyard and i'm sure i witnessed a glowing green mist/blob rise up from one of the tombstones and hover over the graveyard for a good minute before it disappeared. and my wife is convinced our house is haunted by the ghost of the disabled girl who used to live there 40 years ago with her parents. lots of other stuff, but i'm not gonna bore everyone.
  14. works at "mom" lol like you're some kind of superhero.
  15. icarus quit everything after the last election.
  16. i crossed paths with her on fb at one point, but she either deleted her account or it went away some time after the hospital stay. never heard from her again.
  17. someone watched too much shark tank last night lol
  18. i was confident we'd get through this cold snap without any freezing issues. looks like i was wrong. just got done cleaning up a water leak that originated somewhere in the upstairs bathroom. found it because a closet downstairs had water spilling out from under the door and into the kids' playroom. so now i have the water turned off (to the whole house because there's no shutoff for just the upstairs bathroom...fucking old plumbing), and it's gonna have to stay that way until i can get a plumber here (hopefully) tomorrow, if they're not already booked up with other similar problems. normally i'd try to track down the leak, but it's somewhere under the floor in that upstairs bathroom. i'm confident it's the sink drain, but it's possible that a supply line froze up as well. but then again, the bathtub drain likes to freeze in super cold weather, so it could be stemming from that as well. at any rate, its likely going to require tearing up the floor and doing some exploring. oh, did i mention i can't turn the water off completely? the lines and shutoff valves are so old, they're limed/rusted up to the point where valves don't shut completely. so i have to keep the sink in the kitchen opened up, just in case the leak is from a supply line upstairs. i've actually been looking forward to the day when i could afford to tear out every last water line in this house and reinstall them all from scratch. it's possible we'll be doing that before we can afford it.
  19. i disagree. -5F with no wind hurts after a few minutes. -5F with 20mph wind hurts after a few seconds.
  20. read the fucking op. then read it again. find the place where i pretended it was a good video. and if you can't find that place, make sure to leave the thread. k? k.
  21. it hasn't been above 40 degrees here for like 2+ weeks.
  22. good thing i'm not pretending i'm the best at it then, right?
  23. it's -2 here. just got a text from my mom a few hours north of here. they're hanging tough at -24 right now with a projected low of -30 overnight. their pipes are freezing up and all that fun shit. no thx!
  24. i was a little freaked out. don't care how cold it is outside, that was a pot of boiling water and i didn't want to spill it on myself. for as big as the ice cloud was, a lot more of it hit the ground as *hot* water afterwards.
