First game I bought myself with Christmas or birthday money I think was Super Mario RPG on SNES. I'm not entirely sure though, may have also been an N64 or PS1 game(Goldeneye and Legend of Legaia come to mind). First I bought with my own money from a real job I believe was Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 for GBA. I'm about 95% sure on this one, I had to wait 30-45 mins for my ride to pick me up every day and got it to play while waiting.

I finished up Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana yesterday and haven't decided what to do next. I was considering a replay of Nocturne a while back but now I'll wait for the remaster.

I don't even know for sure why, but feel that I won't like it. I'm pretty sure I'd like it and did the bits I've seen, but for some reason never the whole thing. I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually, seems like an average 80s action movie. I plan to watch the trilogy at some point, even though I've heard part 3 is ass.

It was certainly more than I was willing to read last night before going to bed I guess, I forgot all about posting in here. Pretty much the same for me after doing it for 8 years. Our group ended up going on hiatus and the founder died a few years later and I haven't done anything since. Might get back to it here and there though, no more home investigations though. A few crazy and/or asshole clients was really what got some of us burnt out then. I'll stick to cases like the OP which I did read now that I'm awake.
