tsar4 Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Now they're claiming Abrego was a "human trafficker"...still waiting for him to be accused of being "Raoul" & the man on the grassy knoll... 1 Quote

The thing is that no matter what they claim about him, the fact still stands that he did not receive due process. I don't know Garcia so I can't vouch for him but I do know that everybody has the right to defend themselves. 8 Quote

Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted May 21 Posted May 21 https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/21/trump-deportations-south-sudan More violating judge's orders, this time sending people to war-torn South Sudan of all places. The most ridiculous part with this though sounds like the government is contending they didn't violate the judge's order because these people are still in US custody they say, even though they're not in the country anymore. Pretty much the exact opposite of what they claim about the ones they sent to El Salvador. They're just trying to test every which way they can what it is they can get away with, and they're not gonna stop till they make a complete and total mockery of the judicial branch. Still waiting for the next shoe to drop, when a judge inevitably holds them in contempt. 2 Quote

It's scary they're even considering further enabling the all the lawlessness they've been engaging in with something like that. I'm still cautiously optimistic that's not gonna fly in the Senate and be stripped out before the final bill though. If it did end up getting passed somehow, then it'd pretty much Defcon 1 time for the Constitution. So, yeah... Quote

Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted May 22 Posted May 22 'They're Not Just Cutting Medicaid': GOP Bill Would Trigger Over $500 Billion in Medicare Cuts This bill is such a disaster in the making. It keeps looking worse and worse every day people have to look at it. No wonder they're holding votes in the dead of night on it and now trying to rush this thing through to the finish line as fast as they possibly can. "Big Beautiful Bill" my ass. More like Big Bucha Bullshit. 4 Quote
