International news in North Korea tends to focus on famines and other problems around the world to make them look less bad.  North Korean television in general is actually rather interesting in a weird sense.

They do, although possession of such is punishable by hard labor or execution.

NK propaganda is peak content

Before we get too far off base, I’m utterly fascinated by this NK propaganda cartoon called Boy General in that video and how it looks like a bootleg Avatar the Last Airbender.  I’m then wondering how a nation watching carefully curated cartoons from the state about state approved stories and low fantasy realism would react to Demon Slayer, supernatural fighting, and Kanroji’s funbags.

Uh, where was I going with this?  Right, Russia apparently warned the US not to get involved and in a rare rebuke Trump told Russia to go to the table with Ukraine before trying to order him around.  He’s clearly had a rough week with no one coming to his birthday party.

Conversation heard at the mines -

'What are you in for?'

'Picked up a thumbdrive of 'Mandatory Fun' by Weird Al.'

'...'

'Worth it.'

They probably just suspended his account until it’s verified to be him fr and not because he posted something offensive. Still kinda funny though because he pretends to care about Big Pharma getting money for selling puberty blockers.

Remembering back in the late 80s when a friend at college said she was thinking about going overseas some day.  I got a weird feeling & told her that she should be very careful, because I could see a time when Americans would be seen as the root of all the world's problems.

Seems like that time is very, very close.

My Afghan friend's sister is currently on a flight back to Afghanistan. I am very worried. 😬

There are no direct flights to Afghanistan because of Trump's travel ban, so she will transfer in Istanbul.

maga have led so many folks to think politics are inherently troublesome to discuss and it’s better to avoid talking political discussions entirely

the problem is politics dictate our lives our society  we can’t ignore them and avoid talking about them

Im tired of people thinking you can just pretend politics don’t exist and it won’t bother you

"You can fool some of the people some of the time..." but National Park patrons aren't falling for it (NPR)...

I saw a video about Russia rehabilitating Stalin last week. It's so weird how Russians just accept the changes to that, or about anything. One person was like, "sometimes you have to do challenging things that hurt some people in order to make society better."

I'd like to think that Americans are in general more vaccinated against such forms of thought policing, but reality itself is hard to gauge nowadays.

No? Just wait for the backlash to this administration next election.  People are going to be so anxious to rid themselves of DJT & his ilk, that they'll vote for just about anyone without totally vetting them as long as they say the right things.

Hoping these words won’t be eaten and thoroughly digested.

I’m still of the belief that I expect Rupert Murdoch will croak before 2028 and when that happens, there will be a lot of changes not to how the GOP acts, but how effectively they can deny, deflect, and distract.

A lot of this boils down to the information machine the conservatives have built.

It's going to take a long time, if ever, to stop wondering if the majority of people around me are one of the three type of trump voters: Idiots, Assholes or Lunatics. I live in a state that gave him more than 60% of the vote last time and a country that gave him more than half. I've really lost any sort of faith that Americans have wised up or are even paying attention (which it seems most of them really aren't). If DJT isn't there, what's to stop the next authoritarian opportunist to find that sore to poke that fires up people to go to the voting booth and punch themselves in the teeth and be happy about it?

We're going to be stuck with future president-kings because of the supreme court, whose composition is probably not going to change for a very long time. Righwing and Social Media are still going to be allowed to spread disinfo and propaganda due to "freedom of speech." Nobody is willing to put limits on AI, which is just going to keep blurring reality and fiction. Plus, a lot of the MAGA goons and billionaire sycophants are going to still be in the House and Senate for years to come. On top of that, there's no real will to do anything about it, just a bunch of people who think "we should've done that first!"

I just might be having one of those days.

Lisa Murkowski, privileged fetid cheese cunt who thinks her cheese cunt don't smell worse than a fish market in the tropics.

I will be calling any blond bitch I think Trump would have liked to fuck some point in their life a cheese cunt from now on.

Looks like the bill will pass. Red areas seriously need to learn the hard way, I suppose. Brown people being detained and deported is not gonna help your abysmal healthcare and job opportunities.

God bless America. God bless white Jesus.

The OBBB passed and it’s worse than the original cuz the senate made even more Medicaid cuts. I’m also very concerned with all the $$$ going to ICE and how many will be terrorized as a result

i just got an email from the Social Security Administration praising the passage of the bill

Probably because the SSA may not have to keep and process W4 forms anymore.

It's a great tax break for people earning less than twenty four thousand per year on the Social Security system.

actually I think it's because SSA comms is controlled by political appointees

Frank Bisignano is a putz. One of the first things he did after taking over was to hand over the reins to some DOUCHE joker so they could pillage info.

It's a safe bet to consider that all e-mails from 'official federal sources' are AI generated BS to create a narrative that everyone loves Shitler.

What better way to celebrate the birth of the country than by needlessly condemning a bunch of its people to death. What else to say other than...
