Sieg67 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Ohhh, and there are so many mistakes. I know this is a bit out of the blue but there's something I've been thinking about. While campaigning, Trump kept bringing up crypto. He now has his own. Like most crypto, it's a total scam but that's not all. Elon made comments about checking out Fort Knox to see if there's anything in there. My suspicion is that his goal is to sow doubt in the US dollar and to make their crypto the national standard. We’re not getting state run tv because there’s too much money in private TV. Not to mention after Trump no one will have the political and social capital to run this through without getting laughed out of the courts. 1 Quote
1pooh4u Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Had to watch the full clip thru Al Jezeera because our media outlets are makin it seem like Zelenskyy was the wrong one full video exchange for those that might not have seen it. It’s remarkable but it makes plain why we hardly see JD Vance. 2 Quote

I just don't have enough optimism left to think there's anything that couldn't happen at this point. I get that it can't take place all that quickly, and I know as they keep trying to move us that direction they're going to meet an awful lot of resistance, but they will continue chipping away at it in every way they can and every time they do people need to call them out cuz freedom of the press I believe is truly the last guardrail we've got. Once that goes, it's over. 1 Quote

If Murdoch created an irrevocable trust I don’t think he can change it that easily unless all beneficiaries agree(i believe could be wrong) he must’ve thought his kids were just like him in their beliefs to create a trust that isn’t so easy to change 3 Quote

discolé monade Posted March 1 Posted March 1 op/ed It is clear that the post-second world war international order is over. It is clear that Europe will have to look elsewhere, and not to the United States, for its security, and that America will increasingly be isolated among nations, without allies to advance its interests abroad and without friends to share the benefits of science, culture and commerce. Few world leaders, after all, are willing to make deals with such a mercurial partner; fewer still are willing to try, if the attempt will be met with public humiliation in such brutish and bullying style. 1 5 1 Quote

Yep. I'm waiting for the anti-Japanese sentiment to come any day now, with all the American troops stationed in Japan. Agreements mean nothing to this shithole administration. 2 Quote
discolé monade Posted March 1 Posted March 1 our small town received part of block grant. probably the last gov. grant anyone will see. *i'll know what it is exactly about on tuesday* i have been looking at grants on a much smaller scale, and luckily those are still in use and allowed to forcast, which means $$ is safe. for now. and in regards to pooh's video/lincoln project. i have been saying that: it's a fear tactic. it's a fascist tactic. so...I WILL round up those that are willing to put this bullshit aside. it's been very interesting to see those that have donated the most, KNOWING my or have some...assumptions about my political views? or maybe not...i see the trump sticker, but i see a humanitarian effort. what i've come to notice, in MY community, is that these folks, in a hermit county, are WOEFULLY misinformed, and uninformed about the world outside. 5 Quote
