scoobdog Posted Friday at 05:46 PM Posted Friday at 05:46 PM So, as someone growing up in the '80s, I followed Hulk Hogan and I had no idea that he was that reviled that far back. I guess it's hard to imagine that everyone involved in an entertainment act like professional wrestling isn't in on it and that the point is about having a great story that, much like a soap opera, everyone contributes to as team. It seems, though that Hogan was in it just for himself. There's a Slate article (I won't link to because of pay wall and all that) in which the writer talks about all of the bridges he burned while he was still wrestling. He fucked over Bret Hart at Wrestlemania IX and Stink four years later. He ratted out Jesse Ventura when he was trying to organize wrestlers into a union. He did whatever he could to promote himself at the expense of his fellow wrestlers. Ultimately, it's not all that shocking given Hogan's recent use of Trump and MAGA to regain some of his notoriety, but it is unexpected and it strips him of the greatness he supposedly earned at the height of his popularity. 4 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted Friday at 06:37 PM Posted Friday at 06:37 PM Okay, I’ll try to handle 2 more weeks of this pure agony. But you fuckers better come through for me this time. This is my life you’re playing with. I’m keeping this vague because I don’t feel like explaining it. 3 Quote

The Evil Dr. Longshadow Posted Saturday at 06:15 PM Posted Saturday at 06:15 PM (edited) New construction in an old neighborhood. The architect certainly did this one right. It's the perfect house for a chronic flood zone. Edited 9 hours ago by The Evil Dr. Longshadow 1 Quote

Mode 7 Posted Sunday at 12:29 AM Posted Sunday at 12:29 AM I've been enjoying the low key trolling of the IWC by the Jim Cornette YouTube channel because everyone in the comment section of his latest videos are crying because he has yet to upload a video about Hulk Hogan. You what would be hilarious? If he uploads videos about Ozzy Osbourne, Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Chuck Magione before Hulk Hogan that would make my day 2 1 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted Sunday at 01:18 AM Posted Sunday at 01:18 AM All these Dexter spinoffs are getting ridiculous and kind of boring, but I still keep watching them. I’m part of the problem and I don’t care. Quote

Insipid Posted Sunday at 12:19 PM Posted Sunday at 12:19 PM I find it hilarious that the classic board game Monopoly shows us what happens when property is heavily consolidated and everyone else is priced out of doing anything. It's also based on Atlantic City, and someone on our boards from there happens to simp hard for that system. 3 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted Sunday at 09:05 PM Posted Sunday at 09:05 PM I just had someone on Reddit apologize to me because I said I’m an American. I kind of get it, but I have no idea how to feel or respond. 1 Quote
Insipid Posted Tuesday at 02:08 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:08 AM I'm kinda sad, but I'm gonna stop using Duolingo. Learning Spanish was fun, but I really need to brush up my Japanese, and Duolingo just can't help me with that. I'm almost at a 365 streak. Once I reach it I'm probably deleting the app. Quote
André Toulon Posted Tuesday at 04:37 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:37 AM (edited) I'm gonna take my sons phone. Im texting him, looking dead at him not even look to see who it is, just closing the notification and going back to his game. But when he needs a cash app, he'll spam tf outta me Edited yesterday at 02:01 AM by André Toulon 2 Quote

UwPp Posted Tuesday at 02:04 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:04 PM Literally shutting down. My work brain needs a vacation or something. Idfk. I literally can't find the motivation. My brain is getting a headache because of the stress. My adhd just giggles and says "there's always tomorrow" while my OCD is running around screaming. Thanks. 1 Quote

Jman Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The weight numbers on the free arm machine in Aruba threw me off. It was listed in KG and not lbs, so I kept having to do the math. 140 kg bench press, or 308lbs. Granted I know dudes who can bench 405 or even 500 lbs, so I will forever have bench envy. Quote
