I woke up this morning to a new voicemail. People don’t usually leave a voicemail unless it’s something maybe important. I click on it and see it’s only 4 seconds long. The first 3 seconds are complete silence. At the last second, I hear a woman’s voice saying “Bye”.

I realize this is nothing at all, but the undiagnosed OCD part of my brain won’t let me let it go.

More like a one-album wonder, but, yeah, it's similar phenomenon to Tupac - she was talented, but her work gets played up more than it might deserve simply because she died reaching her potential.

I got my Japanese passport renewed today. The consulate came from NYC to a small local hotel lobby. They only come here once a year. It was interesting to be surrounded by my fellow Japanese citizens from the entire Pittsburgh metro area in such a setting. Very rare opportunity.
