Diners don't exist in the south? I thought they were supposed to be a staple...

nope. tons of barbecue, but no 24/7 diners owned by some sweaty Greek or Italian guy yelling at his staff in what sounds like 3 different languages. i think i need to make a field trip home, i need some good food

Hmm.. maybe it's just were your at then because no great southern area should be without a diner in reasonable driving distance.

Well naraku was being very general with "no diners" and then he went very specific with what he meant. Apparently it's not a diner if it's not open 24/7 and operated by Greeks / Italians with a staff that speaks no less than 3 different languages.

I'm not sure if I've ever been to a diner like that, but it looks lit.

i was being mostly facetious. i've done research on diners in my area and the only thing that came up was Dennys. that's not a diner, that's greasy garbage.

I've never seen any Captain America movies. Is that just a line he repeats over and over?

He's only said it in the 1st Avengers movie I think. It's just really popular because of how relatable it is, and it's from a movie that a shit load of people saw.

Also what the hell is this, you don't consider authentic southern BBQ good food? We literally can't be friends anymore.

Not that I've had authentic southern BBQ, but whatever he we got here in Cali is pretty damn tasty so I'm sure the real thing is even better.

Did he say it multiple times in that movie though? Mix (I think it was him) posted a meme of him saying it with a different screen cap.

When it comes to 24/7 all we have is an IHOP in this town. They do omelets all right, but never order anything that would be good at a "diner" there.

That's what people tell me anyway.

nothing fills you like a nice corned beef on rye with cole slaw, a sour pickle, and a square potato knish

Oh man. That looks like a feast to my pregnant ass. Is this from somewhere/region in particular?

Husboy and I always eat at diners when we go on vacation cause the atmospheres are always super chill and sometimes they’re kitschy and cute.

so there are two places you can get the specific food that i posted. diners or delis. it depends on what you're looking for and both have their pros and cons. you'll have more luck finding good food if you go to New York or New Jersey

Diners: Great if you don't really know what you want and they have basically everything. Every diner usually has its specialty (Greek food, Italian food, etc), so if you're looking for Deli you'd have to try a few or know someone who knows the area.

Delis: again, you kind of have to know where you're going but you'll know you find a good one if you see it packed. the one back home which closed down a few years ago was ALWAYS packed. and they had the BEST Reuben
