zombieninjakitten Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I want to say all of the Silent Hill games but Silent Hill 2 literally gave me nightmares. 🥺 Quote
katt_goddess Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I tend to play the 'tamer' games as a rule. Mario and Zelda type things, occasionally pokemon just because it has variations and you can ignore the crap out of it forever and still be able to pick it up and again without really missing a beat. I think the first time I came across a giant squid in 'Windwalker' though. It popped up behind me and I had the rumble-pack on so the controller went insane before I even saw anything. Scared the crap out of me. Quote
Chapinator_X Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Fatal Frame whenever the blinded woman kept surprising me. That game also had a nasty tendency of spawning random ghosts from nowhere and scaring you if you stay idle or pause the game. Quote
molarbear Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 I watched my Brother and his friend play Resident Evil 2 when I was 10 or 11 and it literally gave me nightmares for what seemed like a month Pretty sure that was one of the reasons I was so determined to buy the Remake when it came out and beat it Quote
Sandstone Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 The Evil Within and its sequel are pretty terrifying in some scenes. Resident Evil 7 and Outlast II because psycho hillbillies of any kind are terrifying to me as someone who lives in the south. Quote
Vamped Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 The original DeadSpace. When I bought it, I think I played 5 mins and put it away for .... like a really long time. When I picked it back up I had be brave for like maybe an hour and then afterwards I was cool enough to aim properly and not freak out. Fond memories of DeadSpace   1 Quote
PokeNirvash Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I hear two kids literally died after playing Berzerk, so probably that one. Quote
SwimModSponges Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Not a scary game, but the bonelords and greater bonewalkers from morrowind scared the hell out of me. Its not that they kill you, its that they destroy your strength with every hit. Now you've killed it and you can't move because you aren't strong enough to lift a foot. Have fun being imprisoned in a dungeon forever. Also, that alien game. Again, not super scary, but impossible for me to keep going after i die continuously in the exact same spot because that motherfucker is inescapable. Quote
Top Gun Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Ravenholm in Half-Life 2. Fast Zombies. *shudder* Quote
resurrected Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I don't do scary games. I watch my wife play them though. Resident Evil was scary. Quote
BloodHawk1991 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 The first thing I can remember scaring me was Yoshi's Island. Yeah that game. When I was a little kid my parents always told me that playing games at night caused bad things to happen, and the very first time I played at night I got that final boss fight. I have no idea how old I was, I just know it scared me to death. Quote
