I miss good storms a little. It just rains for a while here, that's it. No thunder or lightning, just rain. I love that it doesn't get cold, I never want to live in a cold climate again. I used to like delivering pizza in especially adverse weather conditions because it made driving a challenge.

We had a wild lightning storm here last week, I haven't seen lightning that intense in a long time. It was constant. Lightning hit the ground all over the place.

I went outside to clean before the rain came but lightning struck the ground twice fairly close by and I just said fuck it and waited.

I wish I'd gotten video, it was sweet.

My mom tells me that when I was a small child, I would stand in front of the TV when the weather radar was on intently watching the radar loop go, and that if one of those red tornado watch boxes popped up I'd go running to my bedroom to hide.

The tornado siren tests that we have once a month petrified me until I got to be about twelve.

Poof i know u love to analyze dreams. Last nite i dreamt of a zombie apocalypse which i took a break from to pick incredibly beautiful flowers that madison and i planted. I can still picture how magnificent they were. Then my mom and went back to our hideout from the zombies and i kept dropping the flowers and picking them back up and my mom wanted a flower but i wouldn't give her one.

Zombie

Thanks, poof! The colors were definitely not white. They were diff colors. The most impressive one was a brilliant blue. So brilliant it was glowing.

I don't have much stress in my life but there is some that im overcoming. I def need more control and independence. I recently started giving some of my paycheck to my brother cuz i cant stop spending and get my finances in check. Ugh. 

I think i was refusing to let my mom steal my joy LOL!

Since it's technically Tuesday, a local meteorologist said that Sunday night's thunderstorm put on a lightning show and he wasn't lying. Right now, the other counties have Flash Flood Warnings. 

In my town, it's supposed to storm again today when I already have an appointment to go to this afternoon. Hopefully, the storm doesn't cause more highway and freeway floods again.

Yeah, the storms have been crazy. Because there have been so many floods in WI the last 2 weeks in other cities, they told people in flood zones not to use their dishwashers and washing machines to reduce flooding. Luckily, we don't have that problem.

yea there were flood warnings here too. they were saying not to park your car outside lest it get warshed away

The second round is 4 hrs out & they're already throwing warnings all over the place.

 

Edit: It's moving faster that i thought, now it's about an hour away at current speed.

the southern point of the storm front passed by us about 3 miles north of my house. we sat on the lawn and watched the lightning. looked kinda nasty.

sounds like iowa state got wet today.

We're still just on the dry side, but that's not gonna last for much longer. Looks like the front is starting to shift south. Gonna be a long night...

Just have a bunch of balloons nearby.
