I don't understand why the pledge is applicable, I suppose it could be military. Soldiers would understand and respect kneeling, a lot of them have the correct degree of patriotism. And a lot of them are just regular dudes, they just treat the military as a job.

I don't get it. What's the difference? Football players take a knee because they're not in the vicinity of chairs.

good point. but taking a knee doesnt look like im just a lazy slob.

I guess that makes sense. But multiple times I have been scolded by strangers for remaining seated during the anthem at ball games. It still offends people all the same.

i really hate seeing the anthem in major sporting events. the nfl only started doing it like almost decade ago and it sucks. they also been promoting the military a lot more and that sucks too.

idk sitting to me looks more like i was more of a lazy slob than someone refusing to stand up for the pledge lol.

I kinda pause when I hear the anthem these days. I think during ocktoberfest in SF I was surprised they played the anthem and I drunkenly half kneed, but then I felt bad because I was at a cultural event. But then someone else did after I did. xD

I don't know, many people hate Kap for his kneeling, people in Frisco hate Kap because he turned out to be a shitty QB that we were stuck with for years, and maybe the kneel's association with Kap sours it for SF fans.

I think most people were too drunk by then, they were already in the leaning against friends time of night. xD

i didnt use to like kap until he started kneeling lol.

i wouldn't call him exactly a shitty qb either, he took the niners very far when alex smith couldnt get it done and alex smith is by no measure shitty.

he had great talents which when supported correctly, gave his team a better shot at winning. hell even last year when he didnt play i still thought he was no worser than a few of the starter qb's and definitely better than half the back ups in the league.

Alex Smith was shitty until Harbaugh turned his career around. For whatever reason, instead of sticking with Smith, we went with Kap. Kap was good for the half a season he subbed for Smith, and the season after that where they went to the Super Bowl. After that he went to shit.

the niners were a shitty team for many years before harbaugh came and fix things up. any good qb will always look bad if the support isnt there. harbaugh put together a good team to succeed. but they went as far as they could with alex. kap took that team to the next level and got them far both times he had a shot. the next year after the super bowl, the entired team regressed. including kap. and then they fired harbaugh cuz the owner sucks and kap never got a good shot ever again with a good team.
