U can walk there to save on gas while u save on groceries

exactly. even though there's already another supermarket there, i never felt like walking there because that supermarket was always overpriced. but now i have a reason to

a lot of good deals, but not an everything in one place place

that is true, but across the street from that is another supermarket which is expensive but it's right there. get all the necessities at Aldi and everything else at the expensive place

Their produce is pretty good. If they don't have something I want I normally just go to Walmart.

walmart is about 10 minutes from me. there's a store that'd be across the street from it but it's expensive. i figure most things i can probably get at aldi and any meats or cheeses i'd have to either drop off anything cold at the house and go to walmart or pay the extra money for the one across the street

what is Aldi?

Grocery store from europe.  They have decent prices on a lot of things, but they don't have a huge variety.  BUT they pay their employees well and actually seem to give a shit about them, unlike every other grocery store chain in the country, who would barely bother to learn the names of their cashiers, much less the people who worked for them for years

Getting treated like an object makes you not give a shit about the place you work, why should you if they wouldn't have your back?  Working somewhere where you aren't treated like a number or a commodity makes you actually care about your job and the place you work.

I think I went to an Aldi once and they had their carts locked up and you needed to pay to use them

You deposit a quarter to incentivize you to return the cart instead of leaving it in the parking lot. They charge for bags to incentivize you to invest in reusable shopping bags.

isn't Aldi the store where you have to buy a shopping cart and everything is sold in Bulk?

Ah see....I used to wonder about your posts.  You just don't know anything and your ability to assess a situation for what it actually is complete shit.

It's none of those things unless you think getting your quarter back after you shop is a purchase and you consider 2 dozen eggs, bulk.

At my store, someone will always pass forward the cart that a person was too lazy to get their quarter back from, so we don't have to go through the drama of inserting a coin to unlock one.

I do that all the time because after bagging, loading, transporting, and unloading your own groceries, that trip back for a quarter just seems like a huge fuck it.  Even if the person is way across the parking lot, I just yell "NEED A CART" and they'll come get it.
