Skiles Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 <3 So like, when we hit the "like" button on someone's name, are we liking that specific post, or just that user in general? And is that different from karma? Does one affect the other? Who are you people and where's my horse?
Skiles Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 That's Karma WHAT IS? That's vague as shit, bro! I need a chart. For real, I don't know what this shit means.
SwimModSponges Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Is this "Ginguy" fellow the same as "Jingai?" Because I've only seen a few posts from the former and they didn't strike me as the latter. But the names sound identical... It's doin' me a concern.

MEXobiologist Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 WHAT IS? That's vague as shit, bro! I need a chart. For real, I don't know what this shit means. it means that you managed to entertain someone for a few moments of their life nothing more, nothing less
SwimModSponges Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Well great, now I'm going to have to be an asshole to him. My code of honor demands it.
tsar4 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 it means that you managed to entertain someone for a few moments of their life nothing more, nothing less Like I'm here to amuse "you people" (throwback). And as to handing out likes, why dilute them? The fewer I give, the more weight they carry.
blueraven1999 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I agree. He gives out a lot of likes. It's nice of him.
NaBarney Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 He does it to garner good will so people will be more likely to ignore when he says something extremely racist/Republican/pro-Trump like he has done so, so many times before

1pooh4u Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Ok, so if I like a post by pressing the "like" button under the avatar it gives Karma, I just did this, so, it seems, that I can like a post twice....am going to test

Doom Metal Alchemist Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Yup, can like a post twice via karma like and like, like :420: : o > It's more like liking the post and liking the person once each.
1pooh4u Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Narc I knew this was you.....the names are pronounced the same....at least when it was "Jingai" I always thought "gin guy" ;D
1pooh4u Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 It's more like liking the post and liking the person once each. Ahh....I see.....I like it 8) Lemme see if I can give karma more than once per post....yup, sure can :420:
Ginguy Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Karma is unlimited I think, while the post is just the one time. Also, for the record, Pooh is number 2 in terms of likes given, and not that far behind me.
Skiles Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Look under your avatar Just fucking explain it! I see nothing under or around my avatar that explains how the whole thing works!
Master-Debater131 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 "And the El Rushbo said, you shall go forth and spread kindness through internet likes, and there was much rejoicing"-The book of El Rushbo, Chapter 50, Verse 5
CAC Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Yup, can like a post twice via karma like and like, like :420: : o > The karma "like" is a like to the user in general, it has nothing to do with the post. The "like" button under a post is for that specific post.
1pooh4u Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 The karma "like" is a like to the user in general, it has nothing to do with the post. The "like" button under a post is for that specific post. Imma sit under your avatar and hit like 20 times :420: : o > Ok, maybe not 20 times
Skiles Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 The karma "like" is a like to the user in general, it has nothing to do with the post. The "like" button under a post is for that specific post. I literally do not see a like button under any post at all. I see the one under the karma on the side, but there is no like button under the posts.

Skiles Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 brah.... That's not on my screen at all, dude. I even turned off Adblock. It's literally not there. http://s764.photobucket.com/user/SkilesASMB/media/nope.png.html
tsar4 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 What browser and when was the last time you updated it?
Skiles Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 What browser and when was the last time you updated it? Chrome. And I dunno, my computer updates itself all the time. I don't manually update anything, except iTunes when it asks me to update every four days.
tsar4 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Go to the sidways "..." in the upper right hand corner & click it. Choose "Help", then "About Google Chrome" and see if it starts updating. At work, we're locked out of updating our browsers for security reasons. Websites don't open with the same structure on old versions.
Skiles Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 "Google Chrome is up to date." - Chrome So what the good God damn is wrong with my computer? S:
tsar4 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 I hate doing this, but do you have another browser, perhaps IE? See if that has a different view. If so, then something's going on with your Chrome. BTW, what version of Chrome was it? It should have said on the "Up-To-Date" screen. It should be around Version 55.0.2883.87. Also, what OS?
Skiles Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 If your using a diff board theme it might be why. Then someone should fix that, because it's asinine for some features to not be there because I'm using a different skin.

I just looked on IE, still nothing. I'm on Windows 8, and Chrome is using that exact version. CAC thinks it might be the theme. If that's the case, hopefully the powers that may or may not be will go in and tinker with it.
tsar4 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Yeah, I'd have to lean toward the theme at this point as well.
Mewn Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Narc <_< I thought it was obvious >_> The drunk opossum gives it away
CAC Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Then someone should fix that, because it's asinine for some features to not be there because I'm using a different skin. Yeah I know but not every theme works with all the plugins except the default theme.
Skiles Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Yeah I know but not every theme works with all the plugins except the default theme. That seems like a major design flaw to me. It's pointless to even have an option for different themes if doing so takes away certain features. I'm not mad about it or anything, I'm just saying that it's weird that the forum host would offer that. I assume it's the host, anyway.

Luuv is already aware of the problem and they're still tinkering with themes.
Skiles Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Luuv is already aware of the problem and they're still tinkering with themes. That's good to know. Again, I should stress that I'm not mad about it or anything. Just in case anyone thought I was legit throwing a tantrum or something. <.<
