  1. That makes absolutely no sense.
  2. Without getting too specific, how is your current skillset niche? Unless it requires a highly specialized education, you should be able to sell yourself to performing any task with the right sales pitch. If you're not interested in leaving your comfort zone, though, you are better off staying exactly where you are. There is not point to advancing up the ladder or trying a new job if you're not willing to leave your comfort zone.
  3. One hot toddy... coming up.
  4. BEER
  5. ...Beer.
  6. I don't get the fear either. Of course, I don't live out in the inland areas where someone inevitsbly manages to get caught in a flash flood and occasionally drowns in it. That's probably the thing, we don't get enough of those thunder cells for the average idiot to know how to deal with flash flooding. Just crossing the five miles from work to home this afternoon I encountered a river going down a side street I've never seen flooded before. I crossed it, And in retrospect, I realize I had no way of knowing if it was deep enough to have an undercurrent before I plowed through.

COuldn't it be on a region by region basis?
  8. Would you stop saying that?! The girls you are purportedly talking to ARE NOT GENERATION Z!
  9. Well at least he's good at something.
  10. Believe it or not, I'm in a flash flood watch, and I'm also about 5-6 miles from the ocean. For this particularly storm, it's that amount of water falling on endless stretches of asphalt and cement that would lead to the storm drain system getting overloaded.
  11. We do, actually. In fact, there's a leeching field 6 miles up river from me. The problem is that you can't capture all that water when it falls on paved or developed areas.
  12. Well, it got panned... hard. So, probably best to stay away.

That's good, I guess. Still, the whole thing is horrible.
  14. Nope, you don't.
  15. More authentic than your usual stuff. Have you tried putting it to a rhythm?
  16. They didn't. You said as much.
  17. No, he didn't just quote my post, he edited it. I suspect he was referring to the somewhat impersonal tone of the word mate, which tends to be clinical.
  18. Arguably, dating sites became necessary as people seemingly lost the interpersonal skills to interact. That's not to say there hasn't always been those people who can't or just won't interact, but it was always somewhat expected that those people could benefit from therapy. Online dating started almost as a novelty, not as a serious means of matching compatible people. Then the likes of match.com and eharmony started to push their services as a way of helping these "lost" single people find the perfect match without having to directly interact, and the perception became that this was an acceptable alternate to a face-to-face interaction. However, none of these sites have ever addressed the pitfalls of being unable to read body language and vocal inflection when in close proximity.
  19. That's the leaf, not the bean, bro.
  20. Well, since the hotel didn't give it to you per se, the difference is that one is a donation and one is outright felony theft.
  21. So is Scooby. He's annoyed that you insist on playing this stupid fucking game and expect us to care.
  22. I was talking about doing it as a business, not as weekend project.
