Ozzy Osbourne dies weeks after farewell show with Black Sabbath bandmates
scoobdog replied to Jman's topic in Current Events
Up until a few years ago, his name didn’t come up that much. Once he started doing more solo shows and had more time to open his yap, he started to get all the attention he apparently craves. He’s very much in the Morrissey mold. -
Newsome is going to have a field day with that.

ICE Raids Hyundai's Georgia Plant to Enforce Foreign Worker Laws
scoobdog replied to discolé monade's topic in Current Events
I also tend to think this is a somewhat legitimate action, only because I can see first hand how hiring foreign workers in the construction industry can have unintended consequences. We've had undocumented workers from Mexico and Central America for as long as I can remember, and it shows in the level of institutional knowledge that those workers bring to a job site, similarly to migrant workers who have been working our fields since Guadalupe-Hidalgo. But, the influx of workers from the Far East, specifically China, poses a bigger problem because we don't have the same level of comfort with them. There are plenty of good construction workers from Asia here, but you're not likely to get them for the bargain basement prices that make hiring undocumented workers so attractive. Chances are the workers in question were imported specifically because they were expendable, not because they were cheaper qualified and experienced (in the US) workers. -
It feels like we're losing a generation of rockers all at once.

I always thought you were amazing, and this only confirms it.

It's only funny if you hit a MAGAt in the eyes with a stream of hot sauce. Its even funnier if they go blind because of it. [I'm not being serious, Ghosty.]

All his underlinings screw up the story.

Thanks for posting. This came up in the national news recently after a Los Angeles area woman used it to alert customers in a convenience store who called police in time to detain her abuser. It’s not common knowledge.

I do too, man. Sometimes. It’s great when your back is sore. Also, get a new mattress Ghosty. The shorties aren’t going to roll with you on your old ass lumpy bed.

I think the key point is being open about your struggles and asking the people around you to give you the space to deal with those struggles. I'm glad you've been able to discuss it openly and to be accepted as you are.

She's absolutely anti-semitic. Why else do you think she hates Laura Loomer so much?
-
I mean, she has been beating the drum for releasing the Epstein files all along. It’s only recently that Trump has been weakened enough in the eyes of his base that she can speak out without being afraid of His Moldiness turning on her. She’s always been the poster child for coat tail riding.

I’m with you. What are standing for?

This is probably the real concern. To a physician, severe is probably fairly self evident - motor and neurological issues that inhibit self-reliance for instance - and they would be the ones that gatekeep the use of a hypothetically approved treatment. But, any time you are dealing with regimen that allows patients to maintain some sort of normalcy, you run into issues that are not intrinsic to the task but are integral to interactions with others in performing that task.

Don’t give up hope. As bad as it is, there are still sane people out there who believe in you.

My opinion is I ain’t putting in my email to read that article… But I only go to Thunderdome.

A kid who is treating an AI bot as his closest confidant is already exhibiting some signs of disengagement, and it's unrealistic to expect a computer, not designed to handle emotional cues, to deal with such a crisis.
