  1. Lol. Yeah, I know. Football really takes me to a dark place.
  2. No, I get why he's mad. But that fact remains Favre probably wasn't avoiding a tackle even if he avoided the initial run. Favre was never as nimble as the latest generation of quarterbacks (like Mahomes), so the best he could hope for his throwing the ball aways and taking the hit. The way I see it. Gastineau is angry because Brett Favre, a man with a history of concussions and the erratic behavior to show for it, didn't take a punishing tackle so that Strahan could "earn" the accolades he feels were being taken from him. Bad as that sounds, I get it: a lot of money is out there for former players who punish their bodies to the extreme and there is no question that Strahan has used his record to get into the Hall of Fame while Gastineau isn't. Worse, he's suffering from Parkinson's and Alzheimers apparently. The game encouraged him to destroy himself so that the could get fame and accolades, and another player chose to avoid the physical punishment and award with an asterisk the record to another less deserving player. When he says "you hurt me," to Favre, that is what he means. It's still misdirected. Favre didn't conspire to have his friend win a record. He gave himself too easily so that he didn't shorten his life another 10 years. Gastineau should maybe be angry at the Jets for not taking better care of him. He should be angry at the NFL for allowing the sport to be violent. Maybe he should be angry at Strahan for not acknowledging him more. But it doesn't help getting angry at an aging quarterback who chose to take care of himself rather than give value to a useless record.
  3. Yeah, that seems perfectly normal. Cats will bond to people in differing degrees.
  4. I just got a problem with the whole "trash sack" concept. To be fair, Gastenau played in an era when quarterbacks didn't give up and you had to earn each and every sack. It's not really fair to compare his record to that of Strahan's. Still, nobody just gives up on a play that has a chance of success. Maybe Favre decided to give up on a play to his buddy, but it's not like he was going to get a big gain on the play if he didn't.
  5. Dude seems a little off. I mean, a conspiracy between Favre and Strahan to get a a trash sack?
  6. I would argue that football players or boxers might deserve that kind of money on account of the extremed physical punishment drastically shortens their life spans, but in baseball that's kind of absurd. Part of it is me thinking that making those two sports absurdly expensive should be enough to trigger fan backlash against violent sports.
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. That's a long time for you to wait for your bed sheets to turn into a loli you can fuck.
  10. A blatantly obvious scam.
  11. I have doubts you even once talked to a manager.
  12. That’s because the computer’s calculator is on the Fritz too.
  13. Kind of this. It’s not like fans are problematic - they’re better than just about any other fan group. The books are generally misunderstood by a lot of people. And, there’s the fact Adams died young. It’s a real difficult series to get the nuances from.
  14. I think @UwPis really the only one that truly grasps the gravity (pun intended) of the situation.
  15. Wouldn't it be more emo rock?
  16. It’s true. We used to think he was going to be a genius. Then he found PBR. When people ask me why he was a janitor, I just tell them he was always gifted.
  17. Just because we all agree you’re worthy of derision, mockery and crippling condescension, doesn’t mean we all act the same. By the way, I’m your brother.
  18. I’m going to blow your mind! Now this thread totally makes sense.
  19. IT all depends on whether or not you believe MD had sex in a hot tub. I tend to think she didn't so... yes they are.
  20. For a Monday at 3pm? Did it go from $2 to $1.33?
