I feel like it isn't going to work. I can understand making a grudge anthology, it doesn't have to be the same ghost every time and can be around the world. Though the style doesn't mesh well at all. The ghost running out and doing these jump scares is garbage. That isn't scary at all there is no tension. This is more the problem with Western Horror, is a lack of understanding atmosphere. The thing I thought I saw out of the corner of my eye can often be more horrifying than what is directly in front of me. This doesn't capture any feeling of impending dread. It shows fight or flight moments of adrenaline and impulse. Yeah something running right at you is "scary" but for the wrong reason. Having an entity physically come at you is a natural reflex response to avoid brace yourself. There is no complexity to that kind of fear that will stick with someone, it's in the moment. On the other hand feeling a tickle on your shoulder and moving to brush it away only to feel someones hand and turning quickly to see nothing is there can stick with people. It's a common occurrence, we've all had that moment, but now when we get that slight itch maybe we'll think in the back of our mind what is really causing it, is there someone behind me etc. We've all had those moments where we thought we've seen something and our imagination can take over. That is what these films should be playing at. As well I don't know how, but the hair CG looks worse than what they pulled off in the 06 remake. It almost looks on par with how shitty the original Ju-on hair looked. Also it really doesn't work as well in a western story. In japan their Yurei have a long association with having long black hair that can move and bind. In america we never really had these traditional beliefs. American Ghosts are almost limited to moving objects and making it feel cold.

I remember talking with Luvv on the old boards about merging different boards due to lack of inactivity. It was considered though then we had the format change, then the site shut down etc. The old boards had an extreme case of ocd autism when it came to segregating each folder and show. I know that some members were very "reeeee" over going back to the format we had in 2006 similar to what we have now where all new episode threads are simply present in one folder which I liked. Rather than having an individual folder and thread for each show; because people couldn't get along, and that somehow put a bandaid on the problem of people who didn't like a show being able to avoid threads for it entirely; which never made sense to me. One thing that I do think we need is an archive folder for toonami, to place episode threads. The toonami folder has like 3-5 new individual episode threads every week that never get posted in after that night. Having an archive for toonami would actually help should you merge AS with it. The reason being is that AS show discussions will be pushed down to the next page continuously unless they're bumped due to the timely addition of new toonami episode threads. As well something else I had brought up a long time ago were a filter option like what they have on pokecomunity. In the folder there are buttons for each game under the filters, click it and only ones with those tags will appear. This could be implemented well for Adult Swim and Toonami by only showing tags by one or the other in the same folder. You could also have a tage for discussion threads and episode threads etc.

Sounds like Tumblr to me; but yeah it's like I said for green light. It's about putting in years and making connections. Though from what it sounds like is that bad decisions aside, is that she has a combative personality. That would be a big problem more than anything. Nobody wants to work with someone who is going to fight them on everything; and networks don't want to deal with it. Netflix is still the only real option I could see this series going in.

I don't know about her rep with actual studios, just tumblr and DA nobodies like myself. People were sperging out because she drew some 16 year old characters doing sexual things, and people were calling her a pedo who don't distinguish between 2D and 3D. She also has a comic about animorph like furries where people can morph between human, anthropomorphic, and feral, and say that she draws beastiality. Those are the two main complaints that I keep hearing. Elfie has had people go full autism over fictional characters ages, it's really nothing new; and really shouldn't be note of any drama as many/all cartoonists have drawn lewds of their underage characters. Sugar from SU even used to draw Ed, Edd, and Eddy yaoi, and there's a surviving story board joke done by some of the animators for Rugrats where Stu gives Tommy prune Juice and he starts shitting himself to death, then implies that he's going to fuck angelica. The other stuff though I think is just furries being furries, and people on tumblr getting pissed off when someone finds minor success because their shitty fanfics haven't taken off. The fastest option I could see for this show getting made is being greenlit by netflix. Networks you really have to put your years in to get anywhere with them. Everyone who has had a show on a network worked their way up by working on other shows and showing their pilot to other people. I really doubt a tv network will pick her up unless she actually enters the industry and puts in her time. Crowd funding will not work at all. I haven't seen a single successful crowdfunding animation. The only way a crowd funded animation would even be possible is if she became more hands off with the project, just make the story boards to be shipped overseas to a decent animation studio and hope for the best.

It really wasn't very good. It felt like it should have been a made for tv thing like a goosebumps or are you afraid of the dark episode. Also del toro's mexican self insert Gary Stu was a horrible character. I really don't get why they made him a draft dodger. The fact that he was mexican born in america and a draft dodger made it feel worse. I just really wanted to see the character get killed/spirited away. The bully was too much of a psychopath. I assume they went that route because IT did that. It just comes off as lazy writing to make a character with zero redeeming qualities. His whole arc was just a lazy comeuppance story. The issue is that a good comeuppance death has a lesson to be learned. There was no moral or lesson to this; he was an asshole that was creeped out by a scarecrow that was it. Also I hate when films start on halloween then the bulk of shit happens in November. Have shit start prior to halloween and it hit its climax by halloween, it's not a hard thing to do. Though this is Toro and Day of the dead lasts from the 31st-2nd, so I assume that is what he was going for, despite it lasting well past the 2nd of nov.

Yeah it's like 39 in my house right now and I'm fine. Use an oil furnace though so my payment for that is more a lump sum than a monthly cost. Sucks though because I was empty and it cost $1200 to fill up my tank.
