Sounds like something my friend did in high school. Our school had a native american graveyard in the courtyard of the school. My friend got into an argument with someone about ghosts. First off all of my dreams have always been in the 3rd person like I'm watching a film. So I'm walking on a road, someone hits me with a van, I'm still not knocked out though so I get smacked with a bat until I'm out cold and am then dragged into the van and driven to a house up a hill on a dirt road. The house has an excavator outside, tires, junk cars, really plays no relevance I guess just set dressing. House is old and in bad shape, has a crooked lean like a german expressionist film, but in color. Come to in the basement not tied up or anything though, just weakened from being hit by a car and beaten with a bat, face is all bruised up and an eye is swollen shut. Big fat guy, dripping with sweat, greasy hair, facial hair looks spotty and thin like something a 14 year old might have, his legs look gigantically swollen clearly has some form of edema, filth covered clothes that are two sizes to small, and fingers look like sausages, mouth breather can see his front teeth the whole time and eyes are very close together, clearly has some birth defect ontop of his poor life choices. Monologues about what is happening. He went to school with my dad, and my dad was a dick to him; insert surprised pikachu jpeg. Pretty much bullied to the point that he wanted revenge. I hear a woman yelling if someone is in the house to help. He yells for his mom to shut the fuck up. He then opens a chest freezer there are a par of arms and legs in it, but he pulls out a small frozen puppy, and sniffs it. Then looks at me smiling and asks me if I know what this is. A flashback happens to when I was 4 playing in my yard. He says how he tried to abduct me, however my dads favorite dog at the time lady protected me which is something she'd actually do. She attacked him and chased him into the woods, my family runs around hearing the dog barking, and my dad goes into the house and comes out with a gun, we hear a loud yelp from the forest as my dad begins to run in. By the time he gets there is his dog gutted open, she was pregnant and her puppies were strewn about dead. My parents assumed it was coyotes and didn't allow me or my brother outside on our own. Flashback ends and the guy tells me that because of lady he missed his chance, he was going to have me in the freezer, but at least he could grab this puppy, the joy it brought him seeing my dad distraught over the death of his favorite dog. He then says how just thinking about it would make him hard and he's spent many nights shooting ropes onto the frozen puppy just thinking about it. Then he pushes the puppy against my face saying it should help with the swelling, and wants my face healed up more before I go into the freezer. While this is going on I clench my house keys between my fingers and punch him in the face, he recoils and I put all my weight into a kick to his belly right above his pelvis which knocks him back falling into stuff and to the ground winding him. I then run up out of the basement, the stairs are longer than they should be and lean to a slant much like the house. The higher you go on the stairs the smaller each step becomes, till they're about 4'' of space to put your foot on. I get to the living room and go to run out the entry, as I hear his mother screaming for help. As I pass by the open room I can see that she's Elderly, and strapped in a Sex Swing, mostly naked, but has no arms or legs; and is hooked up to oxygen. I say I'm sorry I'll get help, and go out the door. The guy is outside holding his bat to cut me off in the Yard apparently there was a cellar door that led straight outside. I tell him he's fucked without a van to run me over with, that he isn't the first person who's tried to kill me and sure as hell isn't going to be the last. I just start heading toward the road thinking it'll be more strategic to have other cars passing by, and that he isn't going to be able to keep up with me. He is following me and is very out of breath. Half way down I notice he turned around, and realize he's going back for his van. I'm like well fuck as this shit on a lot of my strategy. I get down to the road there are cars passing by but nobody is stopping. I can hear the van coming down his lane. I then say fuck it and walk out into traffic, figure either they'll stop or I'm killed by another car, but at least that guy wouldn't have done it and wouldn't have my body chopped up in a freezer to beat off to. A car hits it's breaks, I'm unsure if it will stop in time but since they're breaking I may survive the hit and just brace myself for the roll. Though then I wake up so I don't know how that panned out. All in all the dream was a bit odder than usual. Most of the time I'm not even in my own dreams.

I never had the DNA test done. From what I understand the % of DNA is highly variable. Like triplets have done the tests who should have the exact same DNA. The results came up with the regions all being the same, but each region had different percentages which shouldn't be the case for identical twins that all came from the same egg. So I think the tests are good for finding countries your from, but the % of your DNA that is from those countries isn't set in stone. Really if you have any European mainland DNA, then you'd almost 100% have DNA from every other surrounding country. Like if you're german, you should also have Polish, Czech, Norwegian, English and French in your DNA. Not to mention national boarders have changed a lot over time. There was a point where the Germanic Kingdom was all of northern and western Europe, and a time when the Roman Empire stretched all the way into the United Kingdom. The positive though I think of the DNA tests is that they now tell you genetic disposition to illnesses. Really only useful if you rarely see your doctor, or don't know how common heart issues and cancer are in your family.

Yeah it does get a little polarizing the more you know about your ancestors. Even just going back a handful of generations and ignoring the royal linieage; because really I think there's a large majority of people who are descendant from the English nobility, Scottish clans, and descendants of Charlemagne. There were relatives in the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, my earlier relatives pretty much built the town I live in; my great grandma who lived to be 100 used to be the teacher of a one roomed school house the road it was on was named after her, and there's a park that was named after that side of the family. The german ancestors that came and were in the civil war had started a doctor, barber, butcher, leather and saddle store, then a large hotel that president Grant lived at for a time. My grandpa started the first fire hall and gas station in town when he was younger than me and had already had 2 of his 3 kids and a farm. The family was rather aristocratic still till the 1960s. From what I know of that was my great grandfather died. He divided up the farm and assets across 8 descendants. The money was something like $550k which would be like $4.5 million in today's money not counting the worth of the farm land. So everyone pretty much got $68k little over a half million in today's money and some acres of land. A lot of them sold their land for next to nothing to Kaufman who was their attorney, my grandma dumbly sold a small chunk of our land to a church at a steep discount. Today the land in our town is about $100k an acre. Either way My grandfather dies shortly after that my Grandfather dies from breaking his arm on a crank start to the tractor, an infection sets in from the break. He put a lot of that money into the facilities he built for the town. My grandmother was now raising 3 kids and working a farm and took on multiple jobs as a nurse, tax auditor, and waitress all at the same time, and my dad and his brothers were selling produce grown in the fields at the side of the road. So even not going back far it can be an eye opener at the accomplishments and hardships people in your family had gone through that led to your existence. Still it can get rather depressing if you try and compare it to where you are in your life.

I know mine is German, English, Scots/Irish, French. Pretty much related to a bunch of royalty King James, Marry Queen of Scots, Henry the VIII, Robert the Bruce, Robert of France etc. Then the Graham line which eventually came to america in the 1700s. The german side of my family started with some doctor who came over and was a surgeon in the civil war. His grandchild ends up moving to Pittsburgh, becomes mayor, creates the cure for lock jaw (that shot that you get every 5 years) Then his grandson who'd have been my grandfather married my Grandmother who was in the Graham line which lead to my dad and eventually my brother and I. Really don't know if I should be proud to have a deep long ancestry, or depressed that all those years of nobility, and innovators led to "this".

Yeah I don't think that things should go back to there being one folder; like that horrible final months of ASMB trying to be more mobile friendly, and compete with large social media platforms. Just logical folder mergers. The 13 folders we have now Anime and Manga Toonami Arts and lit Food and Drinks Games Movies and TV Adult Swim Music Sports Horror Free for All Rants Dumpster fires How I think the folders may work best the addition symbol will just be used to show what folders should be merged not a name suggestion Anime and Manga + Toonami I don't think that toonami needs to be a sub folder, if anything the toonami sub folder should just be switched to the Toonami archive to place old Episode threads since we get new ones weekly and it's just clutter. Arts and lit + Music + Food and Drink This makes sense to me since food is a form of culinary arts, and music is always considered an art. These folders also have very little traffic so merging them may be more beneficial. Movies and TV + Sports + Adult Swim + Horror Movies and TV, Adult Swim, and horror are pretty much dead folders. Sports has a couple of active threads, but all this stuff is either film or airs on tv so it makes sense to meld them together, and possible gain better conversations. Games Free for all Rants + Dumpster fires IMHO these can be combined, they're the same concept and have the same posters who use them. Though really it doesn't matter since I could care less if these threads succeed or become stagnate. So with this we go from 13 to 6 folders. I know originally the idea was to merge Adult Swim with Toonami, but the more I thought about it the less it really fit, and the more likely its threads would become buried by the mass of toonami episode threads. Having it merged with TV/Movies Sports Horror feels like it would give that folder the best chance at activity it could have; without it being outdone and overshadowed by anime manga and toonami.

Ever since they introduced global trade, it negated the need for me to really need two copies of a game. At least for finishing the dex the Global trade was all you needed. Though if you wanted to have a competitive pokemon that evolves via trade, then you pretty much needed two copies, unless you know how to inject.

Similar to what I said about Vita games being more capable. The lack of quality and features are inexcusable. Really the only excuse I could think of to even justify cutting the dex which I'm fairly indifferent towards, would be if they implemented all new animations and fixed the models attacks. Pokemon Stadium on the N64 at least could bother to have attacks match up correctly rather than generic movements. Blastoise should be firing from his cannons like in the N64, not the center of his chest.

I firmly opposed a lot of luvvs ideas in the past, and stand by the belief that the ocd levels of segregation the boards had at the time were the leading cause of their stagnation. I remember every single show had it's own folder for discussion threads. It had been that way ever since the RIFS. We went from having a general anime folder where every post would get bumped for a chance that people will see it. To individual folders that would only have activity if people were actively going into the folder; which killed discussion for a lot of older shows that weren't in the lineup. The mass number of folders then became cliquey. People felt like they had ownership of different discussion boards. X is the only one who can make the episode thread for this folder, Y knows that this is a show Z likes he's only here to start trouble. Then anytime those lines were crossed it would turn into a screech fest until luvv would have to come in and rub everyone's back and tell them to go back to their rooms like the children they were. Luvv admitted that he did not like the way that the boards were segregated, but the toxicity was so bad at the time, the boards were being pushed aside, and wanted to take a more passive role when it came to punishments. Which is all how he felt was the best way to run things at the time. He's gone and things are run different now. The current mods take a lot less bullshit with a smile than Luvv would put up with. The forum while having a handful of members who cause issues, is far less toxic than it was on adult swim. The last 4 years of ASMB were the most toxic I've ever seen a community get, and I have been on reddit, tumblr, DA, youtube, and 4chan. People would have arguments over something from a fucking show that lasted for years, and hate each other over it. Then rather than let it drop they'd follow each other into different threads and not let the arguments drop; and Luvv just let it go on because "bans only make people more angry and don't solve anything". Just because luvv thought of something doesn't mean it was the ideal solution for everyone. It was ideal for how he felt he would like to handle it himself. Though not everyone is keen on holding Luvv's ideals. It isn't my call, but how I view it is that the less folders, the more topics will be seen by people, the more chance there is for discussion. I'm 30, a lot of you people I've been talking to for literally half of my life. I know the majority of the board is in my age range with a 5 year swing. Everyone should have a level of maturity by this point to not be complete asshats, and cope with sharing a folder. You can still not click on threads if you don't like that content. Really you don't have to merge rants and dumpster. They're already pretty much the same folder, and despite the fact that it's the same exact people posting in both folders; yeah it sounds kinda dumb when you actually think about it.

Ash should have won Kalos it would have been the perfect end for his story arc ontop of it being the peak of pokemon's animation quality. Then the pokemon company said that Ash will never win the league. Then Sun and Moon had the worst ratings of any pokemon series. So they first went back on their older statement of Misty never coming back, so they brought her back for a few episodes to boost ratings. Then they said that Alola doesn't have a real gym or league system, until it does, and ash wins the special Olympics of the pokemon world. It was funny because for years /vp/ wouldn't acknowledge the orange league or frontier brain victories, because muh filler. Though the alola league the casuals who read about it on facebook came out of the wood works to shit post about Ash's victory "he finally did it boys". Then get assblasted when all the people who actually followed this nonsense were not as happy. The progression for Ash should have been he wins the league then pretty much becomes the new Brock taking a couple new trainers under his wing and passing the torch and going off to train and be battled later to complete the coming of age story. Instead 10 forever, goes full retard at the start of every new season. Nothing from the last season will even matter bullshit. Platinum was better than Diamond and Pearl, and Black 2 White 2 were better than black and white. I'd also suggest Blazing Black 2 and Volt White 2 which are rom hacks. Mostly just ups the difficulty and allows you to catch every pokemon in the game. Also removes trade evolution stipulations now making pokemon evolve with items or by level or friendship and level etc. I enjoyed HGSS a lot. There are also some rom hacks for them that make the game more enjoyable. Especially since the GTS is dead.

I like the idea of rom hacks where you play as a grunt, but I don't see it happening in a mainline game. It took them years to pretty much sideline pokemon battles being gloried dog fights. I don't think that people would look to fondly on a game aimed at kids that allows you to take part in organized crime. They don't even allow the use of slot machines in the west since the DS remakes, and the Virtual Console pokemon games had to get a T rating for their inclusion. Also an issue with the evil teams is they peaked with Cyrus, and his plan to destroy the fucking universe and become god. The big issue though that I have with team Galactic is that it began the trend of the grunts and admins just being brainwashed gullible idiots. Yeah they did it with Galactic, it made sense in context with the whole cultist undertone of the team. Then they did it again with Plasma. Oh we're a bunch of dumb white knight PETA idiots who don't want anyone to battle, and I'm N I'll use the legendary pokemon to end pokemon battles. Except his dad was the mastermind all along and he was going to use the legendary pokemon who you pretty much had to try not to KO to capture, they're so fucking weak. As his panzer nuke tank in making the whole world surrender to him. Then they pretty much do the same plot fucking again in the next game. Then XY we have the same thing that happens, team high fashion is going to pretty much do what team galactic did except it's only going to kill everyone in a single region rather than the whole universe which kinda makes it a big downgrade. Also their leader lied to them and the beam was going to kill all of them as well. Sun and Moon continued this with skull being presented as the threat, but then you realize that aether foundation and psycho milf were the real threat, and it wasn't much of a threat at all really. It just affected a few pokemon being captured which for some reason the series have demonized owning pokemon. They even tried to do that retarded thing of You don't pick your starter, your starter picks you, except you 100% pick your starter. It would have made more sense if they had you take some sort of quiz first like in the mystery dungeon games to decide your starter. Though no you just pick them like you would any other game, but with 4mins of unskippable bullshit and if you want to soft reset for a chance at a better shiny, gender, or stats then you're going to be in for a good chunk of time. For pokemon to actually go the route of having you choose to join the evil team, they'd have to have had a period of the games leading to that point. With Digimon the games gradually became more adult overtime. Pokemon on the other hand has regressed since the 3DS era. Each game has become more and more childish in tone and hand holding. That is the difference between the Digimon games and Pokemon. I played Cyber Sleuth and Decoded. Both games pretty much assume you've been playing the digimon games since the first Digmon world on PlayStation. I had to watch some videos on youtube to learn some of the abilities and mechanics of the games. Pokemon on the other hand assumes you have no idea how the buttons on your console even work. It's odd that gamefreak regressed as much as they had. When Yokai watch was big people were expecting game freak to try something new. Instead they just copied a few things from Yokai watch to make Z moves and the Rotom Dex which were both horrible. Now the Yokai watch fad has passed and they are just lost on what people want because they no longer have a successful model to steal things from.

I really don't care about the cut pokemon. I actually said that would happen years ago and everyone on /vp/ lost their shit and began calling me and others doomers, or pokeoclypsefags. "Gamefreak would never do that it's too late for that kind of a change etc". What is keeping me from buying this game is that it just looks bad. Gamefreak is one of the largest franchise holders in the world. They aren't some small indie company. There is no excuse other than greed that we had garbage for the whole 3DS era of games and now into the switch. The game on the switch should be 5x the size that it is. People are beating it in 12hrs and there's no post-game. The first console main story pokemon game should have been a huge feat. The Vita digimon games are more grand than this. Cyber Sleuth and World have open areas with wandering digimon, the pokemon field is nothing new, and those games were 60-80 hrs to finish. The pokemon switch game should have at the very least been 30 hrs to get through the main story, and even then that is asking the bare minimum of the company. B2W2 was the last game that I enjoyed, and a lot of my enjoyment really comes more from hindsight of going back and replaying them because I've had zero fun playing any of the 3DS era games.

You should need to have a higher post count to talk politics, and keep scummy alt users who are trying to ban dodge out. The only thing that really gets you banned here is asking for personal info, and threatening to murder or rape someone. It isn't hard to not do those few things. The only people who cry about muh pod 6 boogeymen days are the ones who are actually problematic and are banned often enough to find a post count barrier problematic. Really the only ones I can think of who are banned enough for that to matter are You, bucket, and zeni. That's less of a pod 6 and more of the special ed short bus compared to the dozens of people that were a problem in pod 6.

I'd say merge music, food/drink, and arts/lit into one folder. Sports I think could get merged with Movies and TV. There's usually only one active thread at any time in sports, depending on what seasonal sport is going on. Horror I think can also be taken into movies and TV. It didn't even get much use this halloween since most people used general discussion to chat about halloween stuff, and horror films aren't really discussed all that much due to the inactivity of the folder. I really don't see the difference in Rants and Dumpster Fires so them being one makes sense. So the folders in my view should be - Arts and Lit which will cover Art, books, music, food - Games - TV Movies and Sports - free for all - rants/dumpster The confusing one would be how to exactly merge adult swim with toonami as we may have to make that it's own dedicated folder rather than a sub folder of Anime and Manga.
