Pretty much what I was getting at. In his case he has nothing to gain by whistle blowing, unless he has an unknown personal grudge against people involved or funimation as a whole. A lot of what he said maid it sound like Vic was the one being harassed when Sabat has been calling him a fag and telling him he dresses like a fag for years, and trying to haze him into quitting. Seems more like they finally found a way go get rid of Vic through Sony after the buy out, and ran with it thinking he wouldn't be able to fight it. Though that's assuming that everything he is saying is true, he may be lying but to what end I don't know. All this really does is hurt himself. Getting work after whistle blowing isn't easy, unless he feels that he's done with voice acting.

Looks like there's another affidavit this time by Chuck Huber. He seems to sling a lot of shit towards Funi and the other voice actors. Well she was hot and only 7 years older than me, so yes very humble brag. However she was married so I broke that off because I don't care much for people who do that shit while they're married. As for the other teacher I'd have to ask my brother about it. From what I remember though it was one of those things where everyone knew they were fooling around. However he got a divorce and they got married like a month after graduation which was just out of left field. Nobody saw that coming, and he didn't lose his job or anything. As for old dudes kissing kids. The photos I've seen are all on the cheek and a lot of people ask him to do that. If he was kissing them on the mouth that would be another story though. My cousin has a picture of Chubby Checker kissing her on the head when she was 10 from 20 years ago and he would have been in his 50s-60s at the time. I don't really think of him as a sexual predator or anything. Some people though I'm sure feel different. Though Vic kissing fans that never filed a complaint at events unrelated with funimation is like 90% of their evidence, so you gotta grasp at what you have I suppose.

It was dumb teenage fans, and they hadn't called him it in years; possibly because they realized on their own that it didn't make sense and you probably shouldn't call people titles that are associated with war criminals. I really doubt Vic went Goose stepping up to them at a con and demanded to be addressed as mine fuhrer as he put out a salute. Either way it was a very grasping at straws moment on the defenses side. Much like the joke dub lines being harmless, I don't think that people in the 2005-2009 range had the same foresight we have now, of how bad this is going to look on paper.

It's dumb, but it didn't stop the other side from trying to make Vic out as a neo nazi, because an FMA fanclub called him fuhrer 15 years ago. Both sides are picking some dumb arguments. I guess they're both going for the mountain of evidence outweighs the quality approach.

This feels like very 1st world problems levels of trauma. Though that's coming from someone who was kicked and beaten till I coughed up blood regularly for years, been stabbed, and shot before I was even 15. So my scale of childhood trauma may be a bit higher on the suck it up and quit crying end than most.

If they wanted to fix a lot of the issues with the Manga, I'd say minimum would be 50 episodes or 2 seasons, so yes a lot more money is involved. As for the scope though I don't really know how much of FLCL was really meant to be FLCL and how much of it was another scrapped anime project that they just inserted Haruko into and called it a day. Alt I'm for sure all of it was just an entirely separate sol series that got scrapped and repurposed. I know you liked the new seasons, but all I could see in them were how they skimped and half assed their way through to fulfill the minimum obligations of their contract. I really find it hard to believe that someone from williams street went over there and saw this and said anything other than "well fuck", then just tried to make the best of a bad situation because they pissed away a years funds for toonami on that project.

Well good to know As for panels, you just have to submit an application. You'd be surprised what they approve. There are some panels that are like chopstick etiquette, no idea how they fill 30mins. A lot of stuff is blog type opinion stuff that you think wouldn't be a panel. Still if you can make a good routine and find your niche, and travel the cons as a comedian. It may be easier to have your name out there and get a following.

Must have been a tournament or just open mic armature night in general that I entered. I sure as hell wasn't opening for anyone. This was probably 5-7 years ago so policy may have changed since then as well. Yeah I can see how it's not easy in pitt for comedy. There really aren't a lot of talent scouts out here looking for an opening act for their big names. In your case I'd say the issue is your apathetic style and cat eyes. Looking unique does help you stand out, but they don't like people standing out over the main act. I do enjoy Apathetic comedy, but they make for bad segway acts. They need this odd mix of enthusiasm to get the crowd warmed up but not to the point that you're going to upstage the main act. Perfect opening acts are this weird twilight zone of needing to be funny but not too funny as to upstage the main act, be memorable but not where people are going to think of the opener over the main act. Probably why so many comedian openers I've seen fall into what I'd consider generic Dane Cook or Tosh clones. I'm sure you've seen them, young guys to old guys pretending to be in their 20s, dress casual trendy, talk fast, usually steal their jokes but tell them with confidence of writing them themselves etc. Probably why most unique and actually funny people are the ones behind the scenes writing their jokes. There are other less conventional routes you can take to getting your name out there. Go to Anime and game cons and do panels as a comedian. Pretty much what Uncle Yo did for years before he retired. Nerd followings can pull a lot of weight when it comes to filling seats at other venue; and it tends to value more unique looks and styles of comedy.

Go to my local bar for trivia night....Drive into the city on a friday on the south side pay $8 to park a mile away and support someone from the boards. Life really throws the hardest choices sometimes. Also it's rib-fest so that traffic as well.

Didn't know it was that hard to get on. I did it once mainly to annoy my friend because he sucked at comedy and I felt like twisting the knife because he doesn't take criticism at all which is horrible for a comedian. My friend did it multiple times and he sucked the one time I went and saw him. His issue was that he only prepared a tight 5 and had such bad nerves that he'd get blasted before going on. I told him that he should have 10-15 mins of jokes planned if he's planning on doing a 5min routine. That way if anything is bombing he can switch on the fly, or if someone used that joke he could scratch that from the list. That night that I went there I guess he'd already preformed twice at the improve before that. The MC that night used 3 of his Jokes and he just started dripping bullets. I was like dude I'll write you a joke just chill. He was like "no I got this" then kept saying fuck multiple times. His call comes and he can't stand straight at this point. He starts out by calling out the MC for stealing his joke, which it wasn't even his joke it was a common joke that wasn't even new. The whole power rangers color coded by race thing. Either way you don't call the MC out for being a joke thief for shit like that. Then he went into telling the whole joke....Again! However it was coming from someone drunk with no confidence. Then he had some other jokes that made no sense, and spent I swear 2 mins hitting on girls in the front. It was cringe I wish the MC would have came out and pulled him early. He got all pissed at me for telling him how bad it was, so I did it next week and killed it. Rather than just taking my advice, He quits his job joins a clown school, then moved the the other side of the country and is working in LA as an extra and still trying clubs gigs. I haven't kept it much touch with him since then. If get into the Improv have a large group of people sign that they're going to see you. This is why at the ticket booth they'll even ask who you're seeing. If you get like 8-15 people coming to see you, then they'll usually call you back even if you bomb because you got people in the door.

So it's either Funimation is at fault for fostering this sort of environment for years, or Funimation isn't responsible for the actions of their staff. Really though the only people who would actually be surprised by these outtakes are outragers. Really I don't think funimation is going to do anything this time around even if the outrage does get ugly. Simply because they can't afford to have every voice actor they fire dragging them and other voice actors through the mud on their way out, and if they fire anyone over it; it's going to turn all of the staff against Monica and the gang for stirring the pot. The worst case would be Sony stepping in and demanding removal without thinking of the working relationships of the staff, and how small the pro voice acting community is. I think a side effect though of all of this, is that we'll be hearing a lot more Youtube voice actors stepping up to funimation voice actor in the next few years in a search for backup talent. Something to think about when your multi million dollar company relies on a dozen or so people that can be more prone to drama and exposure.

Something about the guy in that video is hitting uncanny valley for me. I assume he has some sort of disorder, but my god it is triggering something in my brain that is telling me that he could be an alien on his first day of pretending being human or reanimated corpse that was just reanimated and it's taking time for the soul to figure out how to work it's body again. As for the when it comes to Japan continuing a series primarily for the western market; it goes less than optimal. At least with Bleach there is a manga, but it was so haphazardly put together that you would need a lot of filler to make sense of it for anime. Really the final arc could use some filler to fix pacing issues. Though in most cases when a show is being brought back mainly for the west they'll put the smallest level of effort into it, ie FLCL sequels, and people are hit and miss over season 2 of Big O because of the tomato ending, either you love or hate it.
