they really do seem to be trying to pry shows from crunchyroll's hands because it's where the hot popular content is and they don't really feel like doing research on what sentai actually has available i have my doubts they can only air one sentai show at a time....(if that's the case then they gotta hope crunchyroll changes it's tune and becomes more cooperative)

You Sound like you have a grudge against light novels....there's too many of them to simply write them all off as trash
-
I Think it's a bit bizarre to try and claim most light novels suck as if they are all the same....

one piece One Piece Episodes 606 & 607 Discussion

it's still weird to see the crunchyroll logo pop up after this and MHA...(Gonna Miss The short jingle after the credits) -
i do wonder if the toonami team even knows what light novels are....

they really thought "Welp We Already Aired SAO!....No Need to look at anything else adapted from Light Novels or Any of those other weird Isekai Things!" I've watched plenty Of Isekai Series and most of them didn't make me think "Oh this is like SAO!"
-
that's the thing...i had someone on another board telling me "Considering the state of Toonami, a sliver of failing traditional cable platform, I can't imagine why isekai #409858 would be something sought at this point- it's not going to draw or excite any real interest in the show itself or the programming block. If there were more popular anime of other genres adapted from light novels, Toonami might have aired more." but so much isekai anime is released each season that ignoring it simply because "it's been done before" is stupid....

The Thing is Demarco isn't running the show anymore...it's Gill Austin Does Gill Just Parrot Demarco's thoughts and opinions then because the block under Austin's leadership is no different than it was under Demarco

is there a reason we never really saw much in the way of series adapted from light novels on toonami? aside from sword art online that is(which seems to be the exception)

Food Wars! The Fifth Plate premieres on Toonami on March 18

who the hell has even known anyone with a nielsen box anyways?....I've always taken them to be like Some Myth that people speak about but nobody ever sees unless you are lucky and even then it's a very temporary arrangement before you are back to being An invisible person whose viewership doesn't count for shit -

we have no clue how many nielsen households even regularly check the facebook toonami page....Nielsen Viewers make up a small percentage of TV Viewers so it's easy enough to assume very few of them check in on that facebook page if any at all -

how can you expect online engagement to translate into ratings when the majority of toonami viewers aren't nielsen households so they aren't counted for viewership numbers? -

any ideas what the bigger better show they might be replacing MHA with could be? because i have my doubts they'd be burning through this for anything -
yeah in the manga Endeavor agency took place after My villain academia(some fans tried to claim the order was swapped to promote the third movie world heroes mission but there was never any solid proof for that) also another change from the manga during that season...there was actually a commercial featuring Re-Destro talking about the support gear his company sells and another scene where he murders one of his employees for not believing in The Liberation Army's cause(thinking of it as just crazy talk)showing just how serious he is about it and doesn't take kindly to it being seen as simply the ramblings of a mad-man

it really is(about as weird as them switching the positions of MVA And Endeavor Agency around so that MVA would act as the season finale) there was some annoyance to that flashback not being included during MVA because it put some focus on spinner as a character which is something we've been lacking....all we knew before then was that Spinner believed deeply in stain's message and joined shigaraki for vague reasons

still no new toonami schedule
CountFrylock replied to CountFrylock's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
block feels much shorter this way.....only 3 shows(if you aren't counting the primal reruns which at this point we shouldn't because they've played the hell out of that show) -
responding to this to inform you there's a reason for that flashback originally that flashback was suppose to happen during Season 5's villain academia story...showcasing just how far the league has fallen and what they have to do just to survive however the scene was never adapted....until now

too bad toriko will probably cause most people confusion when they realize...watching it in english would be quite a task for them not only because most of it was never dubbed but also because there's nowhere to watch it legally

still no new toonami schedule
CountFrylock replied to CountFrylock's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
yeah i still watch the block for fun but it feels like the days of being excited to see what's gonna happen next time on toonami are done can't argue with that especially since it's become a clear You'll probably never see a majority of CR anime on the block and even if it's on the block....You'll likely have to endure movie nights or marathons -
still no new toonami schedule
CountFrylock replied to CountFrylock's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
no no matter what the schedule changes are....I Have crunchyroll to fall back on in a way it's been my saturday ritual more so than toonami has been lately so if the schedule annoys me or seems disappointing...i just tell myself "there's always crunchyroll"
