Look i know you think demarco has no brains and is the dumbest person around but i think pinning this all on him is stupid when he isn't even captain of the toonami team anymore That's Gill Austin and the only reason everyone dumps on demarco is because Austin doesn't give a shit about social media and avoids posting on it somebody has to be the PR Person and since The Team Leader doesn't want to do it....it falls on demarco to keep doing that but since he's still the pr person people think demarco controls everything about toonami and is why everything is the way it is right now because he insists on trying to acquire every expensive crunchyroll show without any proof whatsoever

yeah it was all so they can promote more reality shows without tarnishing the hbo branding and so they could draw families to it but with cartoon network losing more and more time to adultswim it's odd they haven't added more to the cartoon network selection..... if it's not cartoon network then what's gonna draw families to Max?

they put shit like that on there so people can say "Welp Sure Glad I'm Not Fat!" and then garbage like dr.pimple popper for who knows what reason apparently 20% of Max Subscribers are watching that content according to a recent article

it's the discord for the toonami sub-reddit and i think the voice channel can get a decent crowd going early in the night but like i said by the time one piece ends it's like Daddy Said "Lights Out!" and everyone complied they got rid of it because they wanted the service to be family friendly and hbo makes parents think crude adult content i guess... but it's also so they can put shit like my 600lb life on there without ruining the hbo brand(seriously a show like that would be under "Meet your next obsession)

it's mostly for chit-chat or to add in little bits here or there(Like How Caesar's fight with Luffy didn't have that tug of war in the manga) but as soon as one piece concludes they don't hesitate to log off....they get out of there before naruto even begins and I'm left all by myself in the voice channel nobody there gives a shit about naruto...it's a waste of space that nobody there tolerates

Wow every single week The toonami discord gets quiet and the voice channel empties out before naruto starts they pretend one piece is the last show and run away as soon as it's over no more talking no more discussions....just cricket chirps it's so quiet

we need double one piece back...

actually the delay was unrelated to this because they mentioned they were still trying to iron out a new show when dr stone was announced for toonami

i chalk it up to toonami's work-force being so small that errors like this can happen

weird they already decided to show "Preview for next week's episode"

I've started to realize everyone's an asshole in this show and I'm not sure if that's the point or not

but having more cash for acquisitions isn't a crazy demand....if toonami is going to continue moving forward then they need more funding otherwise more reruns are in our future it's the only part of adultswim that regularly presents content and not just acquired reruns

I Think Demarco wishes he had something to actually share with toonam fans instead of nothing at all but WBD Refuses to support the block beyond airing ads for it on other channels and maybe tossing them Some DC Animated Movies when it benefits them

this is my problem....Yes it's his personal twitter account and he's free to have his own opinion on this stuff but he shouldn't have gotten so offended when someone pointed out that the barbie movie clearly isn't just some hollow soul-less toy commercial like he thinks it is what part of this trailer makes it seem like "Just a movie to sell dolls to little girls"? It seems more like A movie that makes fun of barbie rather than one that exists just to promote products and say "Buy this new toy!"

I Guess he just thinks transformers is one big stupid toy commercial that has no appeal to anyone who isn't a kid easily swayed to purchase the next optimus prime toy

i don't know why it bothers him anyways....its not like he had any intention of seeing the movie so why bring it up? as soon as someone points out how silly it is to make a rant about this...He Mutes the tweet in a huff

the thing is though he admits he really enjoyed the lego movie and that was a movie about a product the characters aren't even characters that just happen to be lego they are lego toys in somebody's house so he can't say "I Don't like movies/shows about products" and then add in that he did enjoy the lego movie though as that's him admitting he enjoyed something based off a product

doesn't like transformers either(Never would have gotten Peter Cullen for Toonami If He Had Not been The Voltron Narrator) and doesn't like anything TMNT Related except the original comics

Thursday At Midnight isn't much better honestly if anything I'd say Thursdays at midnight is worse because it's a work/school night and the amount of people who'd be interested in watching it would do so later instead of when it premieres as such I Have My Doubts most fans of the series even watch it on thursdays

Getting people to stay up late on a thursday night (when they probably have school/work in the morning)is a lot harder than getting them to stay up late on a saturday night though
