I've heard that these movies defeat the entire purpose of the source novels, i.e. telling the full story of the game, because they repeatedly skip way the hell ahead in the story. Makes me wonder why they bothered. Oh, and the only canon that's needed is TWO YEARS' WORTH.

The pictures coming out of there are horrific. I saw one video of people running as buildings collapsed that might as well have been Lower Manhattan over 20 years ago.
