Well ackshually in the Catholic liturgical calendar the Christmas season extends to the feast of Jesus' baptism, which is the...third Sunday after Christmas. I have to make those 12 years of Catholic school count for something.

I think my phone plan got charged today so it's probably that.

I mean have you seen how the rest of the One Piece world treats most non-human races? (Or maybe you haven't even seen the worst of it, since the block didn't air the Sabaody arc.) Granted as we've just seen the Minks are far more able to defend themselves than a mermaid like Camie, but if you lived in a world where the ruling powers could enslave you on a whim, wouldn't you stay in your hidden (former) paradise of a homeland too? There are a handful of Minks like Bepo and a few others who live outside of Zou, but in Bepo's case he's a member of a powerful pirate crew so no one's gonna fuck with him. Elephants' backs are usually dirty, right? This is one hell of an elephant, so there's a lot of dirt up there. See here's the thing with One Piece, and I say this as someone who's been watching it for very nearly 20 years straight. (Christ...) It's not a series you can watch with the mindset of "I wonder how much longer it'll be until X happens." The bigger things will come eventually, but you have to live in the moment. "It's the journey, not the destination" is a massive cliche, but One Piece is the living embodiment of it.

Yeah, I couldn't even access the site on mobile earlier today, and now on my desktop I'm getting frequent Cloudflare timeout error pages.

I had a few Creative-branded ones, both a small flash memory one and a bigger one with a hard drive, way back in the mid-2000s or so. Before that it was my bitchin' portable CD player. I used them a decent amount back then, but even before they completely died I just didn't bother. Truth be told I don't really listen to music much at all, unless it's flipping on a local radio station in the car.

You need to crank that sucker up then. In the winter I go just below scalding so I'm nice and toasty when I get out.

I doubt Steve's (and Sara's actress's) voice sessions take much more than an hour every couple of weeks/month given how few new lines have to be recorded. That cost has to be a small drop in the bucket of the actual show acquisitions budget.

Nah man, you don't know how I "watch" things. If I can get through a single episode every two weeks I'll count myself lucky. I completely suck at watching shows on my own outside of an externally-imposed schedule like a weekly relic cable block.
