  1. Honestly Death Note was pretty terrible taken as a whole, so I can't see how they can make it worse. The Dafoe casting was brilliant.
  2. yeah man basic social standards suck balls don't they
  3. How can you say you love her if you won't eat her poop?!
  4. Eh, I love cranberry ginger ale. Canada Dry did this limited-time blackberry ginger ale a year or two back that was amazing.

    Cloudflare

I think people just see the splash screen when the server's down and think RAWR CLOUDFLARE without actually realizing they're not the host.
  6. because you touch yourself at night
  7. So basically it's fucking terrible then?
  8. He spams the same bullshit in every thread, much of which involves acting like an ephebophile. That's not being a contrarian, that's being a creepy asshole.
  9. Hell, I imported the Australian DVD release of Sym-bionic Titan, but I don't think even they got all of Megas.
  10. Honest question for Viper though: I think Luuv already posts plenty around here, but just why is it a requirement that he's constantly buddy-buddy all over the place with everyone? Does it make him less of an admin if he's not? I have known multiple site admins over the years who were mostly hands-off with day-to-day interactions, but still did a fine job of hosting a community. That's honestly all I want out of an admin, and anything beyond that as a bonus. Hell, I have pretty fundamental disagreements with Luuv re: moderation philosophy, but I'm still fine with being here.
  11. Still catching up and finding more gems... I feel like most of us would rather communicate via carrier pigeons than join any sort of site founded on this idiocy. Unless we do it to munch popcorn at the inevitable train wreck.
  12. Man you sure are selling your new potential forum by acting like a goddamn psycho.

    MONDAY

I'm on summer break, so Monday might as well be any other day of the week. Woo today!
  14. Like Naraku said, it's just impulse. The change in an object's momentum is equal to the force acting on the object multiplied by the length of time it acts. For any given collision, like a person in free-fall coming to a stop or a car crash, the change in momentum is a fixed value: you're going from your current velocity to 0. As a result, lengthening the time over which an impact occurs inversely decreases the force experienced. People's arms have way more give than concrete, so the girl felt far less force and was able to survive. The same principle is what makes a car's airbags effective.
  15. If you mark one or two of them as "not spam," most email clients get the message pretty quickly.
  16. Do none of you live in places with decent local Italian joints? We have one like every few hundred yards it seems like.
  17. Dan and Arin have a good rapport, but the issue is that Dan is way too agreeable with Arin and never calls him out on his terrible opinions about game design. Jon wasn't afraid to call Arin on his bullshit, and honestly I think that made them work much better together. I've been watching a bunch of Jon Grumps recently, and it's just so refreshing.
  18. What else...I got the gnome achievement on Half-Life 2: Episode 2. That has to count for something.
  19. I'm kind of curious as to why KN built his own server for this place instead of just using a hosting company. We can't possibly generate enough traffic to make it overly expensive, can we?
  20. Orrrr how about we acknowledge the fact that both of them have been total shitheads for more than a decade and keep them out of our collective miseries forever? What is this, "Fool me 791 times..."?
  21. Pretty much every nightly broadcast news program ever, local or national, has some sort of fluff piece near a holiday weekend about how many people are expected to travel. I'm not sure what the hell you were watching to not see them.
  22. ...since when the fuck are drunk co-eds the only people who go to the beach? Again, what plane of reality do you exist on? And yes, it takes massive dedicated effort to read a Yahoo headline or catch a 30-second blurb on the nightly news. You sure do have me pegged ben.
  23. ...I said that people DO watch things more than once every five years. Christ, can you not even comprehend basic sentences? And if you really can't see the difference between rerunning a show everyone had already seen fansubbed a year or two earlier, and rerunning a super-hyped and heavily-watched prestige project, I don't really know what to tell you at this point. [as] shelled out quite a bit to produce that final season, and they're going to get as much return on their investment as they possibly can. That's an absolute no-brainer.
