  1. People with pets tend to treat them, and feel, as if they're members of their family. It may be killing the original owner that they had to give up the cat (I've had to do the same thing temporarily while I lived in a "no pets" motel, while looking for a place - first thing I did once I got a place was drive the 500 mi to get my cat back). You can ask the original owner if they still want the cat. If they do, I would suggest going online after you get your own place, and visit nokill shelter sites. There are plenty of cats in need of good homes, my current cat spent its first 5 years of life in a cage at the shelter. Some places will offer an adoption discount if you take a "senior" resident or a cat with special needs.
  2. Stop that immediately! (It makes you sound zeni-esque)

Had some homemade stuff (with booze) when I was little, and it was good. Avoid that Christian Bros crap...absolutely horrid.

Nah, the Sahara is the most overrated desert.
  6. Scred.
  7. My bad, it was the 300s. Can't believe that someone is asking more than they originally sold for. I had a pair, but sold them & bought some smaller bookshelf speakers which were easier to move, which I did 14 times since selling them.
  8. Ever hear of the folklore behind "MDA" (the love drug)? Purportedly some college students came up with the stuff. Not wanting to "test" their new drug on unsuspecting friends, they tested it on themselves. In the euphoria that followed, they gave away all the pills they had to anyone that happened across their path. When they came out of their drug induced bliss, they realized that they had neglected to write down the "recipe" and were not able to remember or mimic what they had created.
  9. What I wouldn't give for a pair of Zenith Allegro 3000s.
  10. That's exactly what I did, but the notification bell took me to the old logon which once logged on took me to the goofy "WTF" dead site comic.
  11. Nevermind. I had to logon to the dead site in order to be logged on to the staging site...bizarre.
  12. Spicy food got nothing on SUPrep.
  13. Turns out I can't log on at all anymore. I had shut down my computer before going on vacation and on restart, I can't log on to the staging site. Anybody else got this problem or know how to fix it?
  14. Sorry but I disagree. The best is listening through high quality headphones. The most I recall about the concerts I attended had nothing to do with the music, for the most part. There were a few where amps blew or mics were dead.
  15. Beats the heck out of spending your birthday at a funeral like I did.
  16. I'm thankful for being able to have Thanksgiving with both my folks, my cancer survivor Mom & my stage 4 Dad, who's responding well to chemo.
  17. It's one of those long lighters. He lights the thing directly under his nose - I'm not exactly sure what the heck he was trying to do, but I'm not going to watch that garbage to find out either.
  18. You ever see that "Chrisley" commercial where his eldest son tries to snort the lighter (or whatever he was trying to do)? He makes me think of zeni.
  19. Can't log on the old board where I am now. It only seems to work on my laptop.
  20. There are great events and terrible events with every era. I would say '60s (the music, the optimism), but then there's Nam, assassinations, civil unrest, cold war.... I'll stick with what I have, thanks.
