  1. Got a T-Mobile 5G tower about 10 blocks away. What I thought was weird, AT&T said to put theirs at a west facing window.
  2. I'm cable adverse. The less wires inside or outside, the better.
  3. So I've lived here for nearly 20 years, and in that time no provider has even made mention of bringing in Fiber. All they have on their websites is "send us your email and we'll let you know when it's coming". It's been on the north side of town (wealthy area) since I moved here and the next town south, but not a peep about expanding the service except to new subdivisions. So I've been looking at AT&T Air, T-Mobile & Verizon 5G home internets. From what I can tell, T-Mobile allows for wired landline (though the site isn't specific as to how), which I need to keep. Of the other two, I like that Verizon has 1Gig speed available. All seem to have "price locks" of some sort. Another consideration is the number of ports. Tough to have 3 IoT hubs and they only provide 2-3 ports. Anybody here got any experience with any of them? I upped to 50M ADSL (testing shows anywhere from 29M-49M) from 45M and it's been balkier than the 45M ever was.
  4. Imagine my disappointment at finding out that my new title as "Webmaster" doesn't come with a red & blue bodysuit and web shooter gizmos.
  5. Sorry, but I think Robert is wrong on this. It's a generational thing, not a political one. My dad lost his job in his late 50s and it took him forever (but not the 2 years & 4 months it took me) to find another job. My grandfather, who survived the depression, asked my mom, "Why doesn't he just get another job?" in a "just get any job" way. The kids of the Depression/Greatest Generation had a different mindset. They weren't wrong for their time, but things are much different now.
  6. Nahshon caught a touchdown pass & went down. He got up to one knee, put his fist on his knee and his helmet against his fist. I thought he was injured, but then he crossed himself. He got up, ran to the sidelines and the coach embraced him for some time. This is why -
  7. We've got Vets on these boards, but where's the Veteran's Day thread? I GOT YOUR THREAD RIGHT HERE! As they used to say on Hee-Haw..."SAAAAAAA-LUTE"! Thank you for your service!
  8. Most "endorsed" products aren't all that great, this is a big exception. Rivals anything I could get downtown.
  9. The Magic Christian, Kentucky Fried Movie, Groove Tube, etc.
  10. Dodgers fans donate to Toronto kids hospital like Jays fans did to Seattle
  11. Masks, yes - when I've felt sick so I don't give it to my coworkers. Boosters, yes - I'm in the "recommended age group" & I'm getting a flu shot anyway. This year, they came to where I work, so it was easy. Distancing - it's funny (I don't do it) but at one of my previous jobs my boss would announce when I was sick to the team at the morning meeting, "so employ the 10ft. rule from him". Edit: further clarification - I rarely got sick, so if I caught something, it had to be particularly nasty & strong.
  12. Little did they know that it's the customer that has to be naked.
