Actually, I have no room to talk. When I first lived on my own, I bought "Budget Gourmet" frozen dinners. You know those quality control conveyors where workers pick out the product that isn't up to par? Budget Gourmet was where they put them. The broccoli stems were like wood, but it was what I could afford.

Saw Loverboy (their comeback tour) open for Cheap Trick at the Stephenson County Fair in the U.P. The lead singer had the audacity to claim that "Working for the Weekend" had supplanted "School's Out" as THE anti-school anthem. They then proceeded to phone in their performance.

Unfortunately, I didn't buy a program at the gate when I came in, so I don't know every player on these boards to say who you are, but I have suspicions (which I'll keep to myself).

I'm talking Eastern Europe. Ever since college, I've had this feeling someone is going to come along and convince a lot of people that everything bad in the world is due to the US.

If my Russian/Ukranian was better, I might be able to pass for one. I think that's why my Russian prof. wanted me to switch to a language major back then. There are a lot of Ukranian descended Canadians though.

My biggest fear about traveling abroad is that it would be my luck that during my stay, anti-Western/anti-American sentiment would grow so strong wherever I was it would become dangerous and difficult to "get out of Dodge".
