Raid? One of my kids was a secret shopper for a while - she would go into convenience stores or bars and try to buy alcohol and/or tobacco. I did some more readoing about it, and apparently what they take is metric fucktons of it. The max recommended daily dose is 16 mg for an adult, usually in 4 divided doses...people who are trying to get some kind of opiate-type effect(beyond constipation) are taking 200-400 mg/day. I went to the family dollar this morning, and while I was waiting for the clerk to find her way to the register, I took a look in the locked case to see if they carry my brands. They didn't, but what they did have locked up was the Immodium and all the generic equivalents thereof. I asked the clerk, and she said that they had to, because people were stealing it, and she had no idea why. (Answers delivered through gritted teeth; whether there are a lot of idiots like me asking, or because there's a sordid story behind it, I don't know). So tell me, all you trend setters out there, what is so alluring about Immodium that it has to be locked up? I've never even seen that done with Robitussin DM. Is there some kind of never poop again fad going on, or is it something more arcane?

Policies and procedures differ from institution to institution - I'm sure that's true in your business as well as mine. That's why new employees get orientation before they're handed a mop or a bedpan. Did you consider that they may have been red-carded?
