  1. I bet this movie’s screenplay was sort of a loser on its home planet. This movie will blow past by the general populace, like a turd in the wind. When the reviews come out, there’s gonna be Carnage!
  2. Funimation will add the following titles: Arakawa Under the Bridge (seasons 1, 2) Daily Lives of High School Boys The Eccentric Family "soon" They're also missing Katanagatari so it feels like the gang couldn't all be there to make it a little easier for weebs with subscriptions to discover some good animu.
  3. Sony also got it bad last week with the Last of Us 2 getting leaked.
  4. When the opening piano comes on, my mind automatically assumes that the first lines from DMX’s “Where the Hood At?” are coming right after.
  5. The good thing about stale bread is that it can be used as filler for meatballs. Comfort can still come from a place that reeks of warm beer and broken dreams as long as familiarity is established.
  6. Nat Wolff does such a horrible job at playing a methodical mastermind in the movie. The Ferris wheel scene was great because his delivery was less like a puppet master saving his own skin and more like a naggy husband getting fussy when his wife took a lefthand turn when he told her five minutes ago to take a right.
  7. What if you work from home?
  8. There will be a COVID-20, but it won’t get as bad as the coronavirus until we get up to COVID-32.
  9. I had to luck my way through Fallout 2.
  10. Taking a test with everyone else sounds like something a follower would do, so I elect to abstain.
  11. I got 13
  12. I’ve been sleeping on Animal Crossing because FFVII Remake and BotW have been taking up a bulk of my time. I just put Death Stranding on hold because it got far too miserable to have every delivery throw in more BT fuckery while my motorcycle hits an abrupt stop as soon as it hits a pebble.
  13. I would rather have live action anime films that took horrible, laughable liberties with the material like Death Note to adaptations like FMA and AoT where they tried to mold an Avengers movie out of their pre-existing stories. The Bleach film wasn’t horrible, but I can say with all honesty that I had more fun seeing L freak out to an Air Supply song or Light shrieking at Ryuk than the big action set piece at the end with Ichigo & Renji. TV dramas have an easier time making for good anime adaptations, but films are like the Wild West for them. They’re either disappointing, surprisingly not terrible, or one of the worst films of all time.
  14. It might be risky. I’ve seen some of the movies with Erin from Esurance and those usually ended with her getting a facial.
  15. I was gonna wait til later to get P5R because I played the heck out of the original, but once it drops down in price, it’ll be one I eventually snatch up. FFVII Remake, however, has taken up a ton of my free time. I’m about to finish up the Wall Market section and I’m relatively pleased with what they’ve done with the game so far.
  16. Kakegurui
  17. A simp is someone who lets anyone walk all over them knowing that they’ll get nothing in return. Someone who lets anyone walk all over them expecting something in return when nothing was ever promised would be involuntarily celibate.
  18. Apocrypha would have to be the most newbie-friendly Fate because it’s isolated from much of the heavy lore and friendly to those who like contemporary action/shounen. It’s mediocre, but the safest bet to recommend Apoc if someone wanted the most inoffensive Fate anime to begin with and don’t want to go in knowing anything about Fate beforehand. Zero would be ideal, but that one would be unlikely to carry the attention of the MHA/SAO crowd. I wouldn’t recommend any of the Grand Order adaptations because those require time with the phone game to not scratch your head and asking why so-and-so is in such-and-such singularity. The prequel and Chapter 1 adaptations are OVAs, and Babylonia is several chapters into the story so you’ll likely be lost without prior knowledge of what happens during the game.
  19. The Old Man and the Sea with Zombies: An old fisherman named Santiago is going out to catch a marlin after months of missing out on a fresh catch. But then, sharks start to swarm his boat and pick apart pieces of the marlin. This would already be bad enough, but then there are zombies in the water. Not only must Santiago fight against sharks, but also zombies and, eventually, zombie sharks as they attempt to raid his boat and take both him and the marlin down with them.
  20. So far it’s been a mess, but not the trainwreck I would’ve expected or hoped for. I guess it’d be worth it because there are only so many shows left due to the COVID-19 delays and you get to see the freckled girl’s buttcrack a number of times. But writing about it can be underwhelming because it’s messy but not messy enough that you can have a big laugh at it like Mirai Nikki or Kings Game. Maybe when more aliens come in, it’ll get there.
  21. If you’re into Zelda, then BotW is pretty great. It might start out feeling a little less like Zelda since it’s more open world, but once you start traveling to villages and guardians, it comes into its own. I have the PS4 version of this next game, but Dragon Ball FighterZ is another good one that’s on the Switch. It plays like a 2D fighting game that lets you choose 3 characters per match like MvC, but it’s a ton of fun and gets close to the feeling of a DBZ fight. The roster is well balanced too so it’s easy to get invested in learning the move set for the characters you want to work with.
  22. I still need to pop in my copy of Animal Crossing. Whenever I get the Switch on, I end up trying to finish up Breath of the Wild.
  23. It’s a great game. The story and music took me by surprise with how impactful it all was.
