  1. It is pretty good. Full top 10 - 1. Ultraman 2. Neon Genesis Evangelion 3. One-Punch Man 4. Kengan Ashura 5. Attack on Titan 6. Nanatsu no Taizai 7. 7 Seeds 8. Dr. Stone 9. Cautious Hero 10. Arifureta Also of all the top 10 lists, Witcher and Stranger Things placed high, no sign of Dragon Prince, She-Ra, etc.
  2. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2019-12-30/hideaki-anno-details-his-falling-out-with-gainax/.154892 Also, shady AF business practices are implied to be what drove Imashi to leave and form Trigger.
  3. See, I presume this is why they want to make the live action version and give it Game of Thrones money. Am I the only one intrigued by the idea, even if it ends up being the most expensive trainwreck since Cats? It is so antithetical to what Americans like in their anime that getting people on board will be very hard.
  4. Someone wants to give this the GOT treatment. You know, at least The Witcher had popular video games.
  5. Just remember someone has the rights to a live action version of One Piece and wants to spend more money on it than Game of Thrones. Agree? Disagree?
  6. The show did well enough to justify another season. Which probably means we’ll see it edited on Toonami a few months after it shows up unedited on FUNiNow. If we were solely measuring quality would we be on SAO number what, four? Five?
  7. Ip Man 4 - 8/10 Great kung fu fights, good drama, kinda hilariously straw man villains, but they’re fun to see get beaten up.
  8. https://www.funimation.com/blog/2019/12/27/fire-force-season-2-2020-anime-funimation/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=org-social&utm_campaign=fire-force&utm_content=season-2-announcement-blog&utm_term= Despite a very tumultuous release including real life tragedies and comparisons to Trigger’s most Trigger production yet in Promare, the show has done well enough to secure a second season.
  9. It’s tough to say, but even if it doesn’t, no one will hold it against the show.
  10. June 27, 2020. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/daily-briefs/2019-12-26/evangelion-3.0-1.0-anime-film-opens-in-japan-on-june-27/.154794 Prepare for people to say it’s 2deep4u all over again.
  11. https://www.cartoonbrew.com/interviews/primal-creator-genndy-tartakovsky-animation-is-too-fast-i-wanted-to-slow-things-down-184158.html Turns out he still is committed to ideas for films for Sony Pictures.
  12. At this point anyone who bought Fallout 76 and continues to play it has no one to blame but themselves.
  13. 5 apparently.
  14. I only played the first four. Whoops.
  15. And then they have to add in all sorts of interactive assets, also that’s hardly always the case. It’s just weird that the technology for a lot of these companies produces stuff that is easily viewed as inferior, then you get Dragonball stuff (or Arc System Works items in general) where one needs to really squint to tell the difference. Case in point - Dragon Prince trailer - And some FighterZ footage -
  16. 2.5D animation sucks for a lot of people. Especially you Dragon Prince. Once in a while you get something good like Land of the Lustrious but for the most part you get stuff that looks...off. The sole exception seems to be stuff involving Dragonball. FighterZ, using the proprietary Arc System Works engine is well known for how good it looks, but Bandai is now making an adventure game, and their demonstration of the visuals was a remake of the old opening - Looks pretty good compared to Dragon Prince, right? Why is this the only thing they can get it right with consistently?
  17. This is the issue watching stuff on cable. It’s not going to change given the format.
  18. From everything I’m hearing, the film goes out of its way to take a dump on TLJ. Which...good, but it probably explains why critics hate it. “Where’s Rose? How dare you kowtow?”
  19. Here I thought you’d be happy with it, since the film allegedly goes out of its way to shit on TLJ.
  20. The whole idea is that it’s supposed to get you hyped for the show. I get airtime restrictions but that’s another argument for On Demand. I mean, Star Blazers 2199 works just a bit better because of its opening -
  21. Boring AND with writers that were self confessed haters of mecha! To the point they told Bandai to piss off from merchandise because they wanted giant robots in the giant robot show. Titan really was several years too early, the tail end of Cartoon Network’s degeneration into endless TT Go marathons. If it had the power of streaming, it would have been a much different story.
  22. I still want to see Star Blazers/Yamato on a bigger platform than FUNiNow be it Toonami or Netflix. It is the space opera remake America deserves (yeah fuck you Voltron). And considering a Part III is coming out, there’s a lot of episodes if they go that route.
  23. https://www.netflix.com/title/81235603 Except for that one toxic failure from Dreamworks. But go ahead and see why people liked a show that came out 8 years too early.
  24. I would love nothing more than CG Lupin to air.
