I always figured the joke was that the one-dimensional “badass” is exactly as antisocial and ignorant of social cues as you would think he is. Which is why everyone thinks he’s a damn weirdo. Look at me. I’m defending Shield Hero because the dub got delayed and people are furious at the idea it might mean censorship when I think isekai are beyond played out (literally the only isekai I want to see at this point is a Rayearth remake and that’s because that show is CLAMP literally throwing everything at the wall to make “Anime: The Anime”), because the alternative is letting assholes determine what’s “problematic.”

This got dark.

No wonder Adult Swim gave up after 26.

Odds are I wouldn’t have cared about Shield Hero had the moral guardians not bitched about it being problematic. At least Goblin Slayer has all those Doom memes draw me in. And what I got was fairly enjoyable.

Moral guardians should be strung up in the town square and pelted with tomatoes.

Apparently they look for the stuff the staff bitches about, then IMMEDIATELY go watch it.

It happens every season since a few of those people got ANN staff positions. There’s a show that’s “gross” and “problematic” and they rant about why people shouldn’t watch it. Like Goblin Slayer. How did that work out?

Not too much this season besides Mob Psycho it seems. Everyone’s losing their minds over Shield Hero, but it’s just anothe isekai. As someone else said, do we really need more of those? Other than Magic Knight Rayearth getting a remake (because it has all the shit Netflix loves in a blender), do we?

I've been there. My normal method for strips doesn't work nearly as well on T-Bones, so it ends up a bit overcooked.

Cuts the lead over time significantly. I don’t know if we’ll be seeing 2 immediately after 1 as a big order but 2 will probably be coming sooner rather than later.

They really need to get their house in order. All the whining about stuff like Back Street Girls, but this is apparently Ok.

Spider Man Into the Spider Verse - 9/10 Passionate, heartfelt story with a lot of action that doesn’t feel the need to ape its live action counterparts and animation that pushes the medium forward. If it doesn’t win an Animated Feature Oscar, that category can go straight to hell.

There was this god awful internet film made a few years ago where for no discernible reason, one of the reviewers goes into a full on Ed cosplay and impersonation. CRINGE CENTRAL.
