Ok, I am not sure, but I may have misunderstood what your beef with your friends is. I at first thought it was because they didn't back you up in the physical fight. By more responses of yours that I've read since the last time I opened the thread, now I'm thinking you're angry because they didn't stand up verbally before it got to the point of physical violence. If that's the case, then I agree with you, they should've backed you up.

Mistakenly thinking you are dying is a very common symptom of panic disorder. This happened to me. I was put on medication in 2003 and haven't had a panic attack since.
