Sweet! They showed up earlier than expected. Hopefully they are a decently wide selection. And the other stuff got safely to you as well. I apologize for any kitty furs attached to anything - my cat wanted to be very paws-on when it came to certain things because she is a bitchcake. I got your first gift, pic'd it up in the Post a Pic thread, and wore it to work today for freight day where I got to scare a few small children [ which is always a plus ] who came running around the corner into my aisle too fast only to be confronted by Chester Cheetah in a polo. I look forward to the further surprises and no worries about the delivery timing. Dealing with the Birthmas crap growing up, I'm not big on December gifts anyway so this works out much better.

Thanks to Neko, I have a new mask to wear on freight days and traumatize my cat [ she doesn't know what to think about these things ] Thank you! -
I try to find something that ties in to whatever I might be responding to in the thread itself in order to keep on topic. Otherwise I'll look for something that fits my mood.

I want that mug. Filled with coffees. ALL THE COFFEES! It's not your fault. You ain't the mommy of those traumatized on here after all. Skiles may have pushed a button with his comment but it's about on the same par of frustration as yours is with the never-ending matchboxes [ they breed like bunnies...I'm surprised I haven't found any in the mystery closet from left behinds from littles ] . Yours is the frustration of a mom who is attempting to bring order to the chaos that is having a little kid that doesn't always pick up their toys. Skiles [ and mine to a varying degree ] is the frustration of the kid that's had their toys just disappear or yes, literally set fire to in front of them [ yep, that's exactly where my stuff would go - burn barrel. Just my things though, my siblings were exempt ] . It's just two sides of the exact same coin. My comment about a decorative tote to encourage clean-up was just a general comment for anyone reading and not necessarily directed 100% at you and only you. Like Pat who is now about 24 months away from stepping on a LEGO in the middle of the night. In a semi-serious reply there aren't any specific groups for toy-loss trauma. The closest thing is maybe Adult Children of Hoarders but we've got a lot of baggage to unpack. There is one for people who have lost loved ones to Fox News though. Thanks Google. I should just google support groups for really weird things whenever I'm feeling depressed.

Naw, I knew you were just having a Mom Moment. At least it wasn't caused by stepping on a Lego. I guess for some of us, toy loss was a very real thing and we didn't even do anything to warrant it so it can cause us a titch of PTSD when it comes up even in joke. Especially around this time of year. -.-;

To be 'fair' , I'm left handed but play instruments, bowl, 10 key, and use right handed scissors because that's just the way I'm wired. And as the damage gets worse I use my right hand more for things that were the left side's deal before. No clue about the writing square though unless someone flipped the animation cells in transit before adding the English words to it. Fun fact....

^ Rubbermaid container with either flames or lightening bolts on it to make it go faster. Tell the kid that all the hotwheels that go in the fast bucket get faster but only if they stay in there between play times.

Found my happy for that shitty day. I'll be breaking this bitch in. Hard. Baby Yoda waffle maker. Using blueberry mix in an attempt to get blueberries to line up with the eyes...

Around the holidays, it was a 'tradition' that after the large meal with extra mess, all the guys got to waddle off to the living room and all the females were expected to clean up the mess the nasty little pigs made. I don't agree with that mindset. In the case of a meal for the whole household thing, everyone should pitch in to clean up. It gets things done faster and if people have to clean up after themselves, they are less likely to deliberately mess everywhere.

Crapmas eve - doing the ninja run through the apartment building dropping gift bags of soaps outside every door at midnight. Crapmas day - sleeping in. I have the day off and I'm taking full advantage by not moving until my cat bites me straight out of bed. Which is what she did this morning around 9a. Maybe craft a little. We did the gift thing today and have already put away the hell-iday decor. The 'keets could care less - it was just extra treats and a plastic millet tube to swing from. The kitten was more interested in the lumpy stocking and after poking at her new warm kitty bed that's supposed to be good for her aging joints, is now curled up in a nest she made out of all the blankets on my bed. All of them.

I'm related to Ned Beatty. But I don't go around bragging about it, because 'Deliverance' jokes.

My understanding of the personal rituals of individual cats when they think their human isn't aware is licking. Lots and lots of licking.

rants Haters/Complainers: Legacy of Spleen

How much bile can one liver hold? >.< I feel like I've passed about a quart in the past 30 minutes. Everything is pain and I can't go to bed until this session ends or I'll probably pass out trying to get out of bed too fast. -
Not completely true. I would hang out with the local feral community when I was growing up. Every nice evening in summer, they would all gather in a circle with the oldest badass tom sitting with his back against the building facing the setting sun. To his right were allowed the fighters, hunters, very ferals. To his left were allowed the tame, the lame, the kittens, and me. Everyone had their spot and the only 'fighting' was mock spaz battles between kittens with too much pent up energy. I was not allowed on the right side.
