Possibly. What she does is up to her. There are some subs where healthy debate is welcomed. Most? Not so much. It’s basically an echo chamber. The few times a year (or more, the last 5 years) I decide to interact on Reddit has been the same. I go on, make a few comments, maybe make some small point that someone else didn’t think about (or maybe give a little insight into an already made one), and get upvotes and karma. It lands me in the top 15% of karma almost every year. It’s not hard. It’s a little easier to find some places to read some good discourse, though.

Sometimes, just being there is enough. I’ve been in that headspace before. You don’t always make obvious moves. You’re lucky to find someone about to hit it. I remember a guy in my circles that was influential to the skater and music scene where I went to high school that killed himself, too. Even kept the (then) longest running skatepark in the state up and running himself.
