I've had that phone for a few years now. Whenever I upgrade to a new phone, I keep it going for years until I have new needs that warrant upgrading to something newer. I just use my current phone for calls, texting, video streaming, music, taking pictures, and calculating things, nothing fancy. I don't even play games on it. -

WHO HERE KNOWS VERMONT DMV SHIT
Real_AirCooledGirl replied to Rogue_Alphonse's topic in Free-For-All
I've never been to Vermont, but this should help with your RV registration issues. https://dmv.vermont.gov/registrations/transfer -
The Big Bang Theory S12 E 24 I'm only watching for background noise. This show REALLY jumped the shark in the later seasons. It started out as a show about nerds. In the later seasons, it became more about the characters' relationships. And some of them having kids? That shit ruined the show even more.

Steak, potatoes, and mixed veggies!
Real_AirCooledGirl replied to Real_AirCooledGirl's topic in Foods & Drinks
No. I used soy sauce for the veggies. The potatoes were leftovers from a previous night and cooked in margarine. And the steak was one of those Omaha Steaks. My stepsister and her husband got a shipment of them from her mother-in-law, and they don't eat red meat. So she gave the steaks and some burger patties to me. -

I'm probably the only person in my family who likes their food so spicy. My dad once commented that I like my food so hot that it overpowers the base flavor of the food. There's no going back to the bland foods my grandparents made. I'll still take the recipes they left for me, but I'll put my own spin on them and make the food hotter and spicier than they could have ever dreamed of.

Research on bread indicates that: 1. More than 98% of convicted felons are bread users. 2. Fully HALF of all children who grow up in bread-consuming households score below average on standardized tests. 3. In the 18th century, when virtually all bread was baked in the home, the average life expectancy was less than 50 years, infant mortality rates were unacceptably high, many women died in childbirth, and diseases such as typhoid, yellow fever, and influenza ravaged whole nations. 4. More than 90% of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread. 5. Bread is made from a substance called "dough". It has been proven that as little as one pound of dough can be used to suffocate a mouse. The average American eats more bread than that in one month! 6. Primitive tribal societies that have no bread exhibit a low incidence of cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, and osteoporosis. 7. Bread has been proven to be addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water to eat begged for bread after as little as two days. 8. Bread is often a "gateway" item, leading the user to "harder" items such as butter, jelly, peanut butter, and even cold cuts. 9. Bread has been proven to absorb water. Since the human body is more than 90% water, it follows that eating bread could lead to your body being taken over by this absorptive food product, turning you into a soggy, gooey, bread-pudding person. 10. Newborn babies can choke on bread. 11. Bread is baked at temperatures as high as 400 degrees Fahrenheit! That kind of heat can kill an adult in less than a minute. 12. Most American bread eaters are utterly unable to distinguish between significant scientific fact and meaningless statistical babbling. In light of these frightening statistics, it has been proposed that the following bread restrictions be made: 1. No sale of bread to minors. 2. A nationwide "Just Say No To Toast" campaign, complete with celebrity TV spots and bumper stickers. 3. A 300% federal tax on all bread to pay for all the societal ills we might associate with bread. 4. No animal or human images, nor any primary colors (Which may appeal to children) may be used to promote bread usage. 5. The establishment of "bread-free" zones around schools.

That look seems to happen nearly every time I take a selfie or go to the DMV to have my picture taken for my ID for some reason. -
Easy Homemade Apple Fritters 1 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 cup milk 1 egg 1 cup chopped apple Glaze: •2 cups powdered sugar •1 1/2 tablespoons milk Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, cinnamon. Stir in milk and egg until just combined. Fold in apple. Pour oil into skillet so that it is approximately 1.5 in. deep. Heat oil on high. Oil is ready when a little dough thrown in floats to top. Carefully add dough to oil in heaping teaspoons. Cook until brown, about 2 minutes, then flip. Cook another 1-2 minutes, until both sides are browned. Transfer briefly to paper towels to absorb excess oil, then transfer to cooling rack. Make glaze by stirring milk and powdered sugar together in a small bowl. Drizzle over apple fritters. Wait approximately 3 minutes for glaze to harden, then flip fritters and drizzle glaze over the other side. Best served warm.

Randos hitting me up on Facebook
Real_AirCooledGirl replied to Real_AirCooledGirl's topic in Free-For-All
Still getting friend requests from randos. My mom's best friend and a childhood friend of mine have both offered suggestions. They could be psychos out to harm me, they could be chasers, they could be scammers/catfishers. I still don't respond to their requests at all. Out of the hundreds of friend requests I've gotten, I've only responded to one of them, and that was a woman in this trans group I'm in. It's a small group with only 123 members, and I'm one of the founding members. The woman in question is very new to presenting female so some other members and I have been giving her help in navigating the waters. -

My local B-Dubs had small wings at first, then they changed to bigger ones. That was in 2012, almost immediately after that location opened. I would go there because they had a better selection of sauces and rubs than most of the locally-owned bars and pizza joints near me. Only one local wing shop a short drive from my house has a sauce selection on par with that of B-Dubs. During my B-Dubs days, I would often buy bottles of Thai Curry sauce and use that for stir-fries and other stuff. I LIVE for spicy food, in case you haven't paid attention to my posts. And it's not just B-Dubs; it's everywhere. There's an Indian restaurant near me that offers a very spicy hot sauce; I put that shit all over my lamb biryani the first and, so far, only time I ate there. This sauce has chili seeds in it and everything. That's how you know it's a good sauce. Real shame they don't sell bottles of it or I'd buy some and do a taste test of that with B-Dubs' hottest sauces, see how they all stack up.

What's your favorite story from a video game?
Real_AirCooledGirl replied to Kudasai's topic in Games
Fallout: New Vegas. So many ways to finish the game, DLCs and all. My M.O. is to do the DLCs before the main quest. I steal all the gold at the end of Dead Money, exterminate the White Legs during Honest Hearts, recover my brain but keep the artificial spine and heart while leaving the Think Tank scientists alive during Old World Blues, and nuke both the NCR and Caesar's Legion at the end of Lonesome Road. During the base game, I do all the companion quests. I also upgrade the Securitron Army, leave the Brotherhood of Steel intact, enlist the aid of the Boomers, convince the Great Khans to break things off with the Legion and leave the Mojave, foil the Omertas' plot to gas the Strip, purge the cannibals from the White Glove Society, and exterminate the Powder Gangers. I also like to string the NCR, Caesar, and Mr. House along before throwing them under the bus and installing Yes Man. -
I used to go to B-Dubs to eat wings and play Buzztime trivia. I stopped going to my local B-Dubs a few years ago because it was getting too expensive (even before the guilt tax a.k.a. tip) and it was also a pain in the ass to cross DE Rt. 1 to get there. I didn't give two fucks about sports at all. I was just there for the trivia, like how you have people who only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and don't care about the actual game. My favorite sauces? Thai Curry and Asian Zing. About a month or so after I had my name legally changed, I bumped into one of my old bar buddies from B-Dubs. He was very surprised to learn that he'd been hanging out with a trans woman the whole time and didn't know it. I told him that I might stop by after updating my ID and debit card, to surprise the shit out of everyone. He also told me that there's been a fair bit of turnover among the staff but some of the ones who were at that location when I frequented it are still there. One waitress/bartender has since become a GM. As the antiboyotics have kicked my spice cravings into overdrive, I might stop by for some Thai Curry wings. Or I might try the new chicken sandwich but ask for the Thai Curry sauce on the side.

In the time leading up to my endocrinologist appointment last year, I thought of stealing huge quantities of estradiol and spironolactone and self-dosing. My appt. was originally scheduled for March but COVID delayed it to July. Even when I did see the good doctor, it was through telehealth instead of in her office. But I did get on the titty skittles and have been on them ever since. My endo moved to another state to be with her husband the following month but not before referring me to the cute GP I'm seeing now.
