I don't give two fucks what the chef thinks. I'm still ordering well-done whether they like it or not. I'm not "destroying" anything. It's called PERSONAL PREFERENCE. Being a '90s kid, I still have vivid memories of the mad cow disease scare. And even that is only if you eat the brain and nervous tissue. I also saw something on TV about the proper way to cook beef and took it to heart ever since. I was born eating well-done steaks and I'll die eating well-done steaks.

The local wing joints near me serve garlic Parm. So does Buffalo Wild Wings. But I'd rather have them spicy. And you can forget about dipping them in salad dressing (ranch, blue cheese). I tried blue cheese once and I HATED it. The subject of spicy food came up last time I saw my hormone doctor. I told her that heartburn isn't an issue for me at all. Ditto that I went to these two Indian restaurants, ordered their lamb biryani the spiciest they'd make it, and shrugged it off like it was nothing. I asked what her spice tolerance is like; she didn't say. Half the time I was there, I was lost in her pretty eyes. What gay, bi, or pan girl wouldn't be?

Garlic Parmesan wings are apparently a thing. Why would anyone do that to wings? The point of wings is to be sweet, spicy, or both.

Don't like it? Don't eat it--SIMPLE! I'll stick to my well-done steaks. Doesn't matter how "premium" it is. I don't care if it's Wagyu beef that was hand-rubbed by virgins or some shit. I'm still cooking it well-done. And for every comment from the food police, that's one well-done steak I'll eat. At least I'm sure we can agree that pineapple doesn't belong on pizza. Nor does cheese go on wings.

You still haven't moved me one millimeter. Why judge someone who likes their steak well-done? Why can't you let people enjoy things?

What do you want me to do? Eat bloody, raw-ass beef and call it a meal? Enjoy your E. coli.

Overcooked my aching ass. The food police just don't like well-done steak. That charring is FLAVOR.

The only time I sell physical media of anything is if I upgrade movies and anime from DVD to Blu-ray. I did that when I upgraded Marmalade Boy, Patlabor, Gungrave, Black Lagoon, Chobits, Shakugan No Shana, and some others, and that was a couple years ago. Marmalade Boy, in particular, was one show I hoped to get some money from. On one hand, three of the box sets (there were no singles in the Tokyopop release) had remainder scratches on the barcodes. On the other hand, all four sets had cels that, put together, show a scene from the show (I won't spoil it here if you haven't watched). The Patlabor DVDs were Central Park Media's old sets and I upgraded to a Blu-ray box set that had the movies, OVAs, and TV series. I didn't expect the guy at the flea market to make it rain, but I did want to get all the money I could. I then used the trade-in value to buy some Genesis, PS1, Super NES, and Saturn games.

It's not just TV and movies that are badly affected by streaming without physical releases. Video games, too. I have consoles from the Genesis/32X to the original Wii. I'm also a PC gamer. Digital releases are not the same as having physical discs and cartridges that you can display on your shelf. And what happens if the servers for Steam, Origin, PSN, etc. go down for good? What happens to your games? How would you play them without physical media to store them on? There's a reason why I won't buy a new PC unless it has an optical drive. I have older games that came on CDs and DVDs and would like to be able to install and play them.

I could be a chef at some swanky restaurant and I'd still cook a primo cut of steak well-done if a customer asked me to make it that way.

Fuck the assholes running those restaurants. Who are they to tell me how I can and can't eat a steak? Well-done isn't flavorless. That charring is your flavor right there, with or without any butter. And how'd we go from my having the hots for my hormone doctor to debating about the doneness of steak?

It's a restaurant. I'm the customer, and the customer is always right. I know because I used to work in restaurants. And whenever I'd order a steak for my shift meal, I always ordered well-done no matter what cut it was. Yes, even prime rib. Whenever I go to, say, Outback, I order my steak well-done. I could go to a five-star restaurant with a chef and I'd still order my steak well-done. To hell with all the snobs who try to tell me otherwise. And don't give me the "well-done is shoe leather" bit. It isn't. I've had beef jerky that was tougher than any well-done steak could ever be. I'm not the only person in my family who likes their steak well-done. My mom does, too. Her husband has tried to get her to go medium or rarer and she simply doesn't like it that pink and bloody. I don't, either, and that's that.

I always play characters with 10 Luck. Once I've turned the power on in the Sierra Madre, I ignore the rest of the quest for a bit and play some hands of blackjack. By now, I've developed a system for winning most hands. Once I've won 7,500 chips, those complimentary vouchers are mine for the rest of the game. You know the abandoned Brotherhood of Steel bunker you go to to start the DLC? The vouchers spawn in the little safe there, and there's a vending machine inside. By this point in the game, I've already found the vending machine codes for Stimpaks and weapon repair kits. Blackjack plus the vouchers plus those machine codes equals free healing (25 SM chips per Stimpak) and repair (20 chips per repair kit) every three in-game days. And then I have a mod that adds those vending machines to all the player homes in the Mojave and Big Mt. so I don't have to trek back to the abandoned bunker.

I didn't have any. If I did, I would.

Just ate some fried chicken, potato wedges, and a biscuit for dinner. That'll satisfy your spiro cravings.

Still haven't moved me one millimeter. First time I saw steak tartare on TV was an old episode of Mr. Bean. Mr. Bean ordered the dish without knowing what it was. Once the food arrived at his table, he tried to avoid eating it. And no wonder--IT'S FUCKING RAW! Many years later, I looked it up on Wikipedia and saw a photo; it disgusted me. And last year, while waiting to get on HRT no thanks to COVID, I watched Mark Wiens's YouTube videos where he toured Denmark. He would eat smørrebrød (a type of open-faced sandwich) with steak tartare on it. What the hell are the Danes smoking to eat raw meat? WHY? Add to that a lifetime of working in restaurants and always being taught to cook meat thoroughly, and it's still a hard pass for me.

Most of my blackjack experience is through Fallout: New Vegas and even then during the Dead Money add-on, to win those complimentary vouchers. Obviously, that's not the same as playing real blackjack with a physical deck of cards. I may not know much about counting cards but all I know is that the goal is to get to 21 points a hand or as close without going over. And why do casinos piss and moan about players counting cards? Why punish the player for playing by the rules?
