Link's Awakening is like a 12-15 hour game if you aren't speedrunning it, it's longer than a lot of full priced games.

I wouldn't, but that's me. Playing through the original so close before release might make the new game feel repetitive.

There is some free dlc on the eshop as well, which I'm guessing you can use with the demo or why would it be available to download a month before release? I'd probably feel the same way if I spent $60 on the game and played through it already. I only spent $25 and played about 20 hours and sold it for my money back when Switch version was revealed. Orchestrated music and classic mode was enough for me to stop my playthrough and just wait.

I'll be picking it up for sure. Either PS4 or Switch, not sure which.

This game doesn't seem nearly as remembered as Castle of Illusion on Genesis, I like Magical Quest better myself. Same thing with Aladdin, while both are good I like the SNES version more. How'd you like it? I had a lot of fun with it but played co-op, don't know for sure how much I'd enjoy it as a single player game.
